“This store is a gem - both for everyday beautiful pieces and for designing custom pieces. I designed 4 customs pieces with the Shelter team and from start to finish they were patient, helpful, and insightful, offering expert opinions and recommendations about what would best protect and represent my stones and my vision. I could not have been happier with my experience!”
“I think I come in here every other day. I’ve sent so many others. This is my 2nd family. Everything is always stocked and stocked with new goodies. And you definitely get treated like a VIP CLIENT.”
“Khan El-Khalili is nothing less than outstanding. This is for the women because this review is for my Queen who asked me to submit it for her. Her words to describe this location is EXCELLENT! They have so much to offer.
شُكراً جزيلاً to the entire staff there.”
“This store is such a treat. I love finding locally made gifts, offbeat greeting cards, and sometimes something for me, too. Joyce is a GEM - always helpful, knowledgeable, kind and accommodating.”

“One of my favorite museums on the planet. The Deep Time and Ocean Hall exhibits are fantastic. Lovers of gemstones will also not be disappointed by the museum's collection of gems and minerals.
If you're a fan of sharks don't miss the life-sized Otodus megalodon sculpture hanging in the atrium (just next to the ocean exhibit).”
“The young lady at the front, I can’t recall her name; however, she went above and beyond with helping me. Very knowledgeable, inviting and patient. She listened to me, spent quality time working with me and made sure I understood everything. Oh, let’s not forget the dope artwork! I will definitely be going back! Best Dispensary hands down!”
“I like the unique prints and post cards but I wish I had got a copy of my receipt. There is this “support local business” pink sticker labeled at $3 in my bag which I know I didn’t pick. Four post cards and a sticker came up to $20ish seems about right anyways! Friendly services and clean store!”
“Tracy Dubin and the Annsandra team take the stress out of gifting! Whether it's a wedding, housewarming, hostess gift or just a little something for myself, she always finds the ideal present. Her team handles everything, including gorgeous wrapping, so I don't have to lift a finger. It's like having a personal gifting fairy!”
“This gift shop has such a special atmosphere that it instantly stands out from other stores. From the moment I walked in, I noticed how beautifully everything was displayed. The store was filled with stylish and thoughtful gift ideas for every occasion, whether it’s birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or simple appreciation gifts. I especially loved the mix of modern, handmade, and personalized items that gave the shop a very unique character.
The staff members were incredibly friendly and professional during my entire visit. They were available whenever I needed assistance but also allowed me enough space to browse comfortably. I appreciated their product knowledge and how patient they were while helping me choose between different options. The quality of the products was impressive, and everything looked carefully selected. Shopping here felt calm, enjoyable, and personal instead of rushed. I left feeling extremely happy with my purchases and will definitely continue recommending this place to others.”
“Attended an event at the Reach Center at the Kennedy Center. Too much walking. but wonderful vibe. The folks at the gift shop helped me find my event (I was lost for at least 20 minutes). Lol! The staff is SUPER helpful !”
“Nice selection of gifts with some nice clearance items. The regular prices are pretty much the same as at the gift shops at nearby museums and government buildings; some are even of higher prices. Clearance items are half off so generally are good deals.
They gave us a free photo shoot with the oval office background for our purchase, but we didn’t use it. The photoshoot spot is right around the corner with clear signs.”
“I bought a gift for my mom. It’s a stork on a mug. Nicely done and well made. The associate put it in a box and wrapped it with a pretty ribbon and tied a bow on it. I am so happy with the gift. The price is reasonable, and the gift is valuable. I would compare back.”
“An absolute gem! The owner is bright and has a big heart for helping and promoting women! The fabrics, designs and colors are awe inspiring! I wish I lived here, I'd come more often!”
“Doing Nisey’s is like being on a treasure hunt. You will find something that satisfies your desire, need or want. While shopping, the vibe you experience is like therapy. A real feel good place. The proprietor (Jackie) is informative, creative, sweet and a true jewel.??”
“Cute little small gift shop located in the heart of Rockville town center. I enjoyed my time there. It has a lovely assortment of jewelry, ceramics, books and more. I got a lovely small bowl to contain rings. Recommend the place.”

“Wonderful service. I called about a special gift and they held it for me until I could get there. They have unique items you won't find elsewhere - perfect when buying a gift for people who are difficult to buy for.”
“Great store for anime lovers and people who like cute Asian culture . Some people would say it is a weeb store but it is derogatory. They do have great stuff from dragon ball z , Naruto, and it is well organized and i liked how the some of shelves were made out of plumbing pipes.”

“I haven't been to Maryland, but I heard the owner of the grocery store Pink Dot in Los Angeles went viral for saying something inappropriate. Those one-star reviews are likely aimed at them! Pink Dot Styles does seem like a cute store—I will definitely stop by if I'm ever in town!”
“Happened upon this sweet little spot when strolling through Capitol Hill yesterday. The shop is above a beautiful stationary and card store with equally lovely items. Christine, the owner, is French and listening to her lovely lilt while conversing with another French speaking patron drew me up the stairs immediately. Her space is filled with unique gifts she merchandises from Paris, as well as other fair trade items that support women working in remote locations across the globe. I picked up a beautiful scarf for my momma, as I try to find one for her whenever I'm traveling. Quaint and reasonably priced, there's a little something for everyone, but truly the best part of all is Christine. She's warm and friendly and we immediately fell into a lengthy conversation that made my whole day. If you ever wanted an immediate French bestie, this is the place to find her. Thank you Christine, and Vive la France! ??”

“The Blue House has been a Bethesda staple for cool gift items for 30 years! The store moved from its original location further down Woodmont Ave. several years ago.
Once you walk into The Blue House, you will be enchanted by all of the local and region-themed gifts available ranging from decorative pillows to unique cookbooks, candles and other decorative items.
There is something for everyone in this quaint gift shop. Their children’s section is well-stocked with various toys, books and trinkets.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
If you are looking for a unique or special gift for someone, check out The Blue House, where you are sure to find something that will be appreciated and treasured.
Parking can be a little limited depending on when you go. There is street parking and a public parking garage nearby.”
“I'm from out of state and wish we had this store in my city. Unfortunately, I was getting on a plane so I couldn't buy much bc I didn't have room for my carry-on.... I was taking pictures of everything! I was telling friends that this is the type of store that you would stop by on the way to an event, and it would be guaranteed you find the perfect gift.”

“I found this business online while on the hunt for a wooden wine holder shaped as a duck for my girlfriend's mother as she had added this to her Christmas wishlist. (Yes, I know it sounds silly). I'm skeptical when it comes to online shopping with the way the world is today but I hoped for the best & ended up purchasing the item. What led me to their site was the fact that the product was way cheaper than the competitors & their shipping timeframe was promising. About a week later, I received the item and it was perfect! Exactly as described, got here quickly, and didn't cost an arm or a leg to do so! Very satisfied customer!”

“I am so glad I found this place; they were pleasant, helpful and accommodating. I would 100% go to them every time I need something embroidered. Love these ladies, make you feel special as a customer.”
“I come here for every birthday gift I need to buy. It never fails as a one stop shop. The inventory is perfectly curated, the staff is so pleasant and helpful and the prices are right in line. I love that the merchandise is bagged pretty with ribbon so I don’t need to wrap the gifts! 10/10”
“A Mano is the number one gift resource in DC. I had no idea what to get our clients and friends for the holidays this year. I walked into A Mano in Georgetown and Mary took care of everything, quickly gave me ideas and ranges - a monogrammed throw was a big hit, along with inventive items you're not going to find anywhere else. Gift wrapping was pro level. Thanks also to Stacey for help via text - great service!”
“This is actually one of the best museum gift shops I see in DC. There are so many options, the designs are unique and cute (not just regular, boring museum merch), and they support payment via WeChat and Zhifubao.”
“The staff and owner of this sweet shop went ABOVE AND BEYOND to embroider something last minute for Christmas. The staff and owner are lovely. They make their own candles (not a scented candle person, usually too stinky) but theirs are perfectly balanced and natural - and are made by women who are in need (I bought two). Lovely linens, robes, jewelry, etc. I will be recommending this sweet shop to all my friends.”
“I think my 6 year old said it best, "wow! This is like an art museum! Oh every room gets better!" Urban farmhouse is a treasure. I come here (and upstairs to Covet) any time I want to find a unique and thoughtful gift. I adore the urban farmhouse vibe, I think I've gotten everything from greeting cards to unique vases to guacamole dishes to bottle openers to tea mugs. I'm delighted every time by the curated selection and friendly service. Shop local and this lovely spot!!”
“I wanted to give a special shout out to this store. I don’t usually send deliveries but my son lives up in this area and I’m in Florida and I wanted to do something nice and put a smile on his face for his birthday. This store superseded my expectations. The manager reached out to me early in the morning to let me know what the delivery times would be and then the driver kept in touch with me of when it would be delivered. My son was so excited and happy to get this little surprise but he was super impressed with what was in the package. They did an amazing job with his goodies and looked beautiful. If I ever need another delivery up in this area. I’ll be sure to contact this place! Thank you to everyone here that made the day a success!”
