“We are very, very happy with the services that Team Passionately Pets provides for our pups (and occasional foster dog).
These guys are great.
We’ve used Jenna’s walking and pet sitting services for a bit more than 4 years now, and have had no issue with any walker or sitter. And on those rare occasions when we’ve had a last minute need for a walker, Jenna or a member team took care of our girls.
One of the things we like best about Passionately Pets is that Jenna strives to ensure the same walker consistently takes care of our girls; over the more than four years with them, we’ve had only four regular walkers, a rare exception in a field with notoriously high staff turnover.
We’re also very happy with the overnight services they provide, with pricing on par with local boarding services, without the stress of dropping the pups off to stay with dogs they don’t know.
Two paws up ? for them!!”

“I like the unique prints and post cards but I wish I had got a copy of my receipt. There is this “support local business” pink sticker labeled at $3 in my bag which I know I didn’t pick. Four post cards and a sticker came up to $20ish seems about right anyways! Friendly services and clean store!”

“Thank you Michelle and Cynthia for the hospitality while visiting the Alexandria Va location! Both ladies were amazing and attentive. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary- we have been collecting Simon Pearce since we became engaged, starting off with the Heartland Flutes! We have an entire China cabinet full of Simon Pearce and a lot more that we can’t fit in it in our basement. We have an entire collection of trees and ornaments and 12 place settings of the Belmont dinnerware. I would have to disagree with the review that compared Simon Pearce to an upscale Things Remembered- there is no comparison. This is timeless, quality, and pieces that will take you from generation to generation for decades to come. If you love to gift, this is your place. If you love to entertain, this is your place. If you love classy, timeless pieces, this is your place. Our dream road trip it to visit the main store in Vermont for dinner overlooking the Quechee waterfalls. “Nice selection of gifts with some nice clearance items. The regular prices are pretty much the same as at the gift shops at nearby museums and government buildings; some are even of higher prices. Clearance items are half off so generally are good deals.
They gave us a free photo shoot with the oval office background for our purchase, but we didn’t use it. The photoshoot spot is right around the corner with clear signs.”

“Made in ALX hosted an 11 year old birthday party for my daughter and 13 friends. It was perfect. The owner worked seamlessly in advance to plan and coordinate with me - responding quickly without delay. She was incredibly easy to work with. They had a large table set up and decorated with about a million options of beads and charms. The girls created necklaces/bracelets and 2 hours was the perfect amount of time. The jewelry instructor was patient, working well with 13 girls - providing clear instruction and guidance. I would not hesitate to have another birthday party (or any kind of party!) with Made in ALX. Thank you for such a great experience!!”
“Happened upon this sweet little spot when strolling through Capitol Hill yesterday. The shop is above a beautiful stationary and card store with equally lovely items. Christine, the owner, is French and listening to her lovely lilt while conversing with another French speaking patron drew me up the stairs immediately. Her space is filled with unique gifts she merchandises from Paris, as well as other fair trade items that support women working in remote locations across the globe. I picked up a beautiful scarf for my momma, as I try to find one for her whenever I'm traveling. Quaint and reasonably priced, there's a little something for everyone, but truly the best part of all is Christine. She's warm and friendly and we immediately fell into a lengthy conversation that made my whole day. If you ever wanted an immediate French bestie, this is the place to find her. “Such a beautiful and vibrant store! I was immediately intrigued when we were walking by and had to make a pit stop to visit this store. On top of it being so aesthetically pleasing, they have a great selection of clothing and accessories. The store is well organized and they have so much to offer. The prices were a little high, but it’s understandable being that the store is in Old Town. If you are searching for some beautiful clothing, cups or accessories, you need to stop here!”
“A Mano is the number one gift resource in DC. I had no idea what to get our clients and friends for the holidays this year. I walked into A Mano in Georgetown and Mary took care of everything, quickly gave me ideas and ranges - a monogrammed throw was a big hit, along with inventive items you're not going to find anywhere else. “Actually a pretty solid gift shop in a pretty good location. Our toddler wasn't really crazy about anything in there, it seems like it's definitely more focused on adults that like history which is totally understandable.
The gift shop is relatively small but fun to peruse. And looking back at our trip, I'm glad we didn't really focus on getting anything there. There are SO MANY gift shops in the area, just keep that in mind.”
