“I was beyond impressed with Dr.Fear and how he handled our first appt with our special boy Moo. Not only was the entire staff friendly, but when Dr Fear came into our room, he sat on the floor with my husband next to Moo... he also gave us great advice, spent far more time than he should have with us, he was also great with Moo. We 100% will be switching our vet.
The clinic as a whole was clean. No smell of urine like some hospitals can have. I was so impressed.

“My kitten had a complication from her spay that was done at a different clinic, and this office squeezed us in on a Saturday to help her. Dr. Mecenas was incredibly kind and caring toward both my kitten and me, which meant so much during a stressful situation.
I was nervous about checking out and seeing the bill, but he was very respectful about cost and didn’t charge for anything unnecessary. I truly appreciated the compassion, transparency, and care. I’m so grateful we found this practice.”
“Back in March this year in 2025, a cat wandered onto my property. I wasn’t sure if it was feral because it did not approach me.
I put food out and finally in August I was able to get close. She even lassoed my Stella Artois beer.
Unfortunately in October a coyote bit her on her back and she had multiple fractures.
I took her to emmitsburg veterinary hospital and they gave me some options. But I know from prior experience that the bills can add up for a cat in dire straits.
So I had to put the cat to sleep. But Emmitsburg veterinary hospital understood and even sent a condolences card.”

“I have moved to the area and needed to find a new veterinarian. I have two cattle dogs and my rescue is a challenge. The entire staff worked with us affording us time in the waiting area to explore, the lovely staff kindly came out to greet my dogs w treats and sat on the floor, and I was encouraged with new ideas to be a better handler despite my agility training, I will receive new directions! The actual time with the doctor was full of peace, understanding, and kindness- one of a kind appointment. I am so grateful. I have training work ahead to make my next appointment better. For all others, I highly recommend this facility. You will have a hard time finding better. Also,
