BJ's Wholesale Club offers a wide variety of items at decent prices, making it a popular shopping destination. The store features a good selection of fresh produce, quality meats, and a well-regarded deli with Dietz and Watson products, along with other major brands and private label items. Customers appreciate the coupons available for additional discounts and often have positive experiences with staff, including helpful managers who go above and beyond to assist during busy times. For members aged 60 and older, there is a designated shopping hour from 8 AM to 9 AM Monday through Saturday, while first responders can shop during the same hour on Sundays. The store can get crowded, especially during peak times, leading to long checkout lines. Some customers dislike the reliance on self-checkout lanes, feeling they reduce jobs and do not offer discounts. On busy days, only one cashier line may be open, causing long wait times, with some lines wrapping into clothing sections. Despite these issues, many find BJ's to be a good store with friendly staff and reasonable prices, especially for special occasions like birthday parties. Overall, BJ's is appreciated for its selection, helpful employees, and shopping hours tailored for specific groups.
The Bj's gas line is always a hot mess! The people inside the hut just sit in there and get paid to do nothing instead of letting people know there is an empty pump. The gas line at the Capitol Heights location is very well organized.

The woman working the door checking receipts needs to be give another function. She should not be working the door. Registers were empty but the line to exit the store was backed up. It’s the same thing every time she is working the door. She is too slow checking receipts.

This is not Costco. A lot more variety than Costco but quality is lower in some cases. Does have a deli. Line at door to show receipt has only one staff and there is usually a long line.
