Jessica booked me for a flat repair as a walk-in at 5 pm on a Sunday. The repair was completed in under 30 mins. & I was shocked how easy & professional the process was. I now know where to go for tire repairs.

Looks like there’s a new team and manager now. I’ve had services done here before with the old crew, and honestly, it was just okay. But today I met the new manager, and he really made a good impression. He seems honest and knows what he’s talking about. He gave me a fair estimate based on what I needed, and his attitude was great—super friendly and easy to talk to.

I recently had a tune-up, oil change, and engine flush at this shop. Everyone was courteous and professional. The work was done in a timely manner. However, they failed to inform me about a transmission code that came up during the code reading. The check engine light and repair wrench came on the same day I was serviced. When I took my car back that same day, the young men there couldn't help me. I had to return the next morning to get an explanation about the additional problem. It's frustrating that this issue wasn't mentioned during my initial visit, as I'm sure it was present then.

Folks, Pep Boys, the store we remember, is no longer. This spot now belong to Hertz Car Rental (affiliated with Uber).
They still have some tires in there. The Hertz Rental was very smooth, customer service
excellent! Thank you Hertz!!

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL 5 STAR REVIEW IN MARCH 2024:
I will NEVER visit another Pep Boys EVER!
On today, July 30, 2024, my husband and I, had our 2013 Acura TL towed to our local Pep Boys Service Center at 3390 Crain Hwy, Waldorf, MD 20603 due to the car not starting. We were originally under the assumption that the car wasn't starting either due to its starter or alternator. When trying to give it a jump it wouldn't start which is why we assumed it was either the starter or the alternator but not the battery. So we had the vehicle towed to our local Pep Boys to get a $110 diagnostic check done. After further review, it was reported to us via our Courtesy Vehicle Inspection Report that we needed a new battery, a new alternator, new rear pads, a new serpentine belt, and a brake flush. We were then told that in order to get the car to drive, we would need to at least replace the battery, alternator, and serpentine belt, for which we were quoted $1000 for parts and labor from our service mechanic, Darius R. After researching the parts, I discovered that I could get all of the parts needed for $432, so at that point, our service advisor, Victor, stated that he could come down on the price of parts for the alternator (from $450 to $300) and the serpentine belt (from $110 to $75). Which would then make the total $1025 for parts and labor, which was more than what was quoted to us by the mechanic at $1000. We informed him of the verbal quote received from the mechanic, Darius R., and he informed us that the mechanic was not supposed to do that, but since he had, he would take the total price down to $900 out the door. That for me was still too much, as I had informed the service advisor that I could do the labor myself. So we opted to get the car towed back to our house and for me to purchase the parts myself and do the labor myself. Once the tow truck driver arrived at Pep Boys to pick up our vehicle, he did a FREE multimeter test of the battery, starter and alternator. Upon dropping the vehicle off to my husband, he let my husband know that our alternator and starter was good, but that the battery was just dead. We were shocked! So immediately we went to our local Auto Zone store and purchased a new $250 Duralast Platinum battery. We installed the battery, and the car started right up with no hesitation. We then drove the car back to our local Auto Zone to get a new FREE multimeter check done with the new battery, and it came back that the starter, battery and alternator were all good! So we NEVER needed a new alternator, even though your Waldorf, MD store mechanic, Darius R., said we did and quoted us $1000 for it! I am appalled, disheartened, and now completely untrusting of this store and the associates they choose to hire! Again, I will NEVER frequent another Pep Boys in life and will be letting all of my friends and family know about the lack of integrity the store associates have for their customers.

Horrible service! Had a 10am appointment for front end alignment and here is 12:30pm and they still haven’t started on my vehicle! Don’t schedule appointments if you can’t keep your end of the appointment. This is totally unacceptable!!!
