Yesterday, my daughter and I went to the Ft Washington Post Office for passport renewal services. Victor was so professional, kind, efficient, and knew exactly what he was doing.
The Department of State sent us a letter that her passport renewal application was received, but we completed the incorrect form and provided us with the correct form and instructions for next steps.
Victor greeted us warmly. We had our part completed and Victor immediately knew what to do. What a breath of fresh air. I believe we were in and out within 7 minutes. I told Victor that he was a God-send. I was sharing this experience with a friend and she also commented that she has been serviced by Victor multiple times and the experience has always been phenomenal

“As of February 12, 2022: I had a BMW rear cover to mail and the seemingly experienced staffer had no concept of customer service. She was quickly, and professionally coached on how to weigh the odd shaped package. Wow! I was impressed with Tracy the Postmaster as she not only made sure the package was correctly weighed and measured, but also polished up some much needed training of a staff member! We pay a lot of taxes in PG County so to see a government office run at a higher standard is commendable. Great turnaround at this location!”
“Looking at the reviews, it seems like the only reason anyone comments is out of frustration. And I understand their frustration because i've been coming to this post office for thirteen years now. However, I would say that in the last 8 to 9 months. The culture here has shifted greatly towards customer service and satisfaction. The employees they have now really do seem to care. And they treat us with dignity and respect. I feel much more like a customer than just work that walked in.Shout out to the leadership of the La Plata Post Office.”
