Truist, a financial institution formerly known as BB&T, has received mixed reviews from its customers. While some have expressed dissatisfaction with the changes in phone number and branch locations, others have praised the efficient and personalized service provided by the tellers, particularly at the Waldorf and Dunkirk branches. The bank's use of video chat technology at the drive-thru has been well-received, offering a more personal experience. However, customer service quality can vary, with some locations receiving praise for their helpful and friendly staff, while others have been criticized for rude and unhelpful behavior. Overall, Truist seems to provide a mixed experience for its customers.
This branch of Truist, specifically Maria Benitez, refused to honor an appointment I made on the Truist website for my 80 year old parents to access their safe deposit box. Instead she made my parents and me wait over an hour in line. This branch appears to place little priority on serving the elderly.

Definitely need to hire more customer service reps. You can’t run a busy bank with 2 tellers and 1 floor rep. This Truist location never use to be like this when the old Mgr. Was here. Dot know what’s going on but my time is of importance. Please fix this problem.

I’m a new Truist account holder and am regretting my decision to open with this bank already. Between the poor customer service, nasty attitude of banking staff, and inconsistent communication of banking policies; Truist is not a bank that I would recommend. In fact, I’d say stay far away and bank elsewhere.
