Took my dad’s truck here because the engine blew up ! I told don up front my father did not have much money and that was his only way to get around .he went above and beyond to find my dad a used engine had it put in put new timing chains , spark plugs the whole nine! Caples price was super reasonable and was less than what you would pay anywhere else ! They also seen his front tires were bald and put good used ones on it for free because they said the one he had were to dangerously low !

My truck, my lifeline, broke down last night. 😔
I've been up all night looking for a good mechanic who would be willing to work on an old truck. I was referred to Caples Car Care, by several different people. After reading the 200+ positive reviews, I decided to take my truck here. Within 3 minutes I knew I made the right choice! Compassionate, caring, understanding, and extremely busy! The parking lot is packed! You can see that the place is running right. Thank you Caples Car Care! You made me feel comfortable, without my truck.

I brought my vehicle to Caples Car Care for an engine oil leak and brake repair, and the service was outstanding. The team quickly identified the source of the leak, explained the repair clearly, and handled the job with real expertise. My brakes were also inspected and repaired with the same level of care—no upselling, no guesswork, just honest, professional work.
The communication was great throughout the process, and the turnaround time was faster than I expected. Since the repair, there’s been zero oil leakage, and the brakes feel solid and safe again. It’s obvious these folks take pride in what they do.
If you need a trustworthy shop for engine or brake issues, Caples Car Care is absolutely the place to go. Highly recommended.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Caples Car Care. Communication has always been clear, the work is explained before anything is done, and I never feel pressured into repairs I don’t actually need.
What really stands out is the management. They’re professional, approachable, and genuinely take the time to make sure customers understand what’s going on with their vehicle. You can tell the shop is well-run, and that carries through to the quality of the work and the overall experience.
Turnaround times have been reasonable, pricing has been fair, and the staff has always been respectful. It’s hard to find a local shop you feel comfortable going back to, and this is one I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends or family.

Got a flat tire right after my night shift took it in to them and they couldn’t patch it, but they did put on my spare for me so I could get home over 30 minutes away. And after they did all that work they didn’t even charge me. They gave me 2 quotes to come back and get brand new tires at a great price. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend! Very good people!!

Earlier today my mother-in-law ripped the front bumper and undercarriage by accident. She was very upset and stressed because the undercarriage was dragging and the bumper was flapping against the tires. We called Caples to see if they could possibly try to ziptie the situation until her son could look at it. Elizabeth said come right over and they would help. Joey went above and beyond, he got the bumper into the clips and zip tied the undercarriage. There was not even an indication that it had just been hanging off. He was so pleasant, made my mother-in-law feel at ease, assured her she would be safe to get back on the road. And they didn't charge her. What a pleasant experience and nice to see kindness and empathy in her situation. THANKS CAPLES!!!

They saved me! My vintage RV developed alternator problems while I was visiting in Maryland. The lovely people at Caples not only replaced the alternator, but persevered till they found the source of the problem - a short in the isolator, which controls the electrical flow between the engine and the RV “house”. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, and they took the time to explain everything they did and even pointed out a minor problem to take to my regular mechanic when I got back to NJ. I was delighted with the service, and would definitely take my vehicles there if I lived in Winchester.

My son was out shopping on Friday and all his electronics in his car stopped working. He took his car to Caples 2 hours before they closed. They immediately looked at his car. Found the issue and had it fixed and him back on the road within 1 hour. Exceptional service.

In October-ish, on a Friday around 1 I realized my tire was flat. After a few phone calls Caples was able to assist me.
I don’t think you realize the impact of your assistance with my tire as I had a family trip planned that weekend we were looking forward to. As a single mom in 2024 - from the bottom of my heart YOU ARE THE BEST!
The world needs more people like the ones who assisted me that day. My tire has also been plugged and fixed with 0 issues all around! 5/5 stars!
