“A mall with a lot of everything. There are different buildings, all part of the same. The movie theater is in a building on the side of the main one. The Costco sucks because it is not a gas station.”

“Love the vegan options!!
Why I gave 4 stars and not 5. There are 2 bathrooms, both have boy/girl and I wouldn't mind that if the guy before me didn't pee all over the toliet, floor oh gosh and he did not flush. I could not use that bathroom. He can't do that in a girl's bathroom. It's not sanitary or fair. I went in the other bathroom and it was OK but both nerd a real good sanitation and to be checked on a schedule.
In the back they offer free coffee which is very good. I do recommend Moms.”

“Hit a few of the establishments in this shopping center including Starbucks Roy Rogers and almost made my way into the green turtle but I was running out of time on this occasion...
Maybe next time I'll pay the green turtle a visit and hang out for a bit longer”

“This place has been here forever and the Starbucks in Balducci‘s make it a staple in the Bethesda area. Really wondering if they are going to knock it down and build something else here as they did on the property to the left of the shopping center.”

“Love TJMaxx. Redoing the interior of this location. Fun place to go too never know what you'll find next. Wish they carried more high end hair and skin care, even clothes. Back in the day the Maxx was the place for beorgeois brands, Italian products, changed a lot since then. But still a great place to shop. Staff is ok.”

“We visited Leisure World for one of their monthly Saturday dances. If you like ballroom, dancing, and want a non-threatening environment in which to practice, this works well. The DJ was organized and played good ballroom dancing tunes. Everyone there is welcoming to all levels of dancers. There is a lot of free parking as well. You just have to tell the guard in the entry station that you are going to a dance, and he will let you in.”

“Spring Valley Shopping Center

Spring Valley Shopping Center is a charming, upscale corner of Northwest Washington, D.C. that perfectly blends convenience, elegance, and a relaxed neighborhood vibe. Unlike the chaotic feel of many large commercial complexes, this center offers a calm and polished atmosphere that makes shopping and dining genuinely enjoyable. The area is beautifully maintained — clean sidewalks, tasteful landscaping, and well-kept storefronts create an inviting environment that feels safe and welcoming both day and night.

What makes Spring Valley special is its curated mix of local boutiques, fine dining spots, and practical stores. You’ll find everything from high-quality grocery options like Wagshal’s Market and fresh bakeries to cozy cafés and small specialty shops. The businesses here have a refined yet friendly touch, and the staff in most stores are courteous and professional. Parking is easy to navigate, and the surrounding neighborhood adds to the charm with tree-lined streets and a quiet, community-oriented feel.

This is the kind of shopping center that encourages you to slow down, enjoy a coffee, and take a stroll rather than rush through errands. It’s ideal for residents of the area or visitors who prefer an elegant, less crowded alternative to big malls. Overall, Spring Valley Shopping Center captures the essence of upscale D.C. living — polished, peaceful, and pleasantly convenient.”

“Lots of good shops here. Visited Umi Buffet here. Great value and a large selection to choose from. We went during the lunch session. First time, so just tried mainly the buffet. Clams, mussels, sushi, sashimi, baby octopus, snails, squid salad, Kani salad, Boba tea, lychee jello, chocolate pudding, and a sprite. Nice place, clean and bright. Next will be the Ramen bar, mini hotpot, and BBQ. Or maybe that more visits. ?”

“Ample parking, decent selection of stores. As I type this in January of 2025, the parking lot is so caked in salt it is insane! There hasn't been snow in well over 45 days! There us there is zero reason for the level of salt and chemicals (some of the colored type ice melt is out too). I dont want to expose my car to that amount of salt for a rundown the grocery or to grab a coffee or pastry, so I go to the shops just up Mass. Ave., on West Bard instead.”

“This is a beautiful gem tucked in a shopping center, that is buzzing slowly but surely! I initially decided to venture here because a lot of the northern counties above central/southern Maryland have epic thrift stock and goods. So I went-

My aim was to shop for cute items that would be mailed gifts for a few of my close friends.

For the Latinx guy staff member I met...your cologne is top notch ? (I wanted to say) but also I think the word I was looking for earlier was anagram - not palindrome ?. Sorry it took so long!

I love the diverse collection of shoes especially with larger sizes represented, the shear size of material in the store, and the decorative front displays of fashion - never have seen that in a thrift store ?.

The only con I have is that there aren't too many places to place clothes for re-shelving and the sizes are just kind of stuffed about on the various ladies racks with no particular order to them...

With that said, I would shop again for dresses, purses, winter wear, and shoes of course ? ?! Thank you for all you do.”

“I came here to pick up an order at Bloomingdale's. It is located right at the the Friendship Heights Metro stop, on the red line, making it very easy to get to. Besides Bloomingdales, there are restaurant options, the other stores all seemed good, and Saks is only a 10 minute walk down the road.”

“Your typical shopping centers. However, if you leave from the Edmonston Dr side (not the Pike) you most likely will find yourself stuck getting into traffic as this road is on a two-lane (one way each). This is most common in the evening, during rush hour.”
