“Maryland Motor Workz went above and beyond for our family of 6. We were headed home, back to Indiana from Maryland, when our the coolant line on our van blew at 4:40 pm on a Thursday evening. We called, explained our situation and a technician, Joseph, met us at a local gas station to assess our problem and have come up with a plan to get us back on the road. He assessed the situation, called around to find the parts locally, picked them up, fixed our van in the parking lot and we were on our way back to Indiana. At least 5 individuals worked together to make sure I was taken care of, on a late Sunday evening, as everyone was home, or going home.
One was even not part of your franchise, but was able to contact you, and handle my frantic calls while already working at capacity.
Matt came back to the shop from home with genuine concern, and insisted on making things right.
Matt walked me - and his apprentice - through what happened. Both of us gained appreciation for the small things that so much rides on.
Mike, all of your team deserve recognition for this.

I saw a team working together, on short notice, at a late hour - to make things right.
For one customer.
Further, Matt made this a teaching moment for the other employee, who's name forgive me, I did not get. - Seeing another learn, and participating, made this worth it.
With the consolidation of national chains, coupled with the concurrent national indifference to customer service, we don't see this happening much anymore.

“I would never have thought to take my car to Walmart for car service, but a coworker highly recommended them for competitive pricing. I had gotten a nail in one tire, and was advised by my dealership they could replace the one tire for $300+. Yikes! I had never heard of replacing one tire at a time, especially for awd. I shopped around but ultimately went to Walmart and was seen same day. The technician (who worked Sunday 11/16 around 12pm) very kindly let me know that the nail hole was not something they could fix, and due to the age of the tires it was best for all 4 to get replaced. The tires were nearly 7 years old, so I had a feeling that would be the case. $530 and less than 1 hour later my car rides like a dream. The entire team at this auto care center were phenomenal. Donna was incredibly knowledgeable and kind every time we spoke. I wish I could remember the technician’s name who broke the news to me, but he was straight forward and very sympathetic to my situation and he deserves recognition too! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend trying Walmart the next time I need service done on my vehicle.”

However, I received a professional and honest diagnosis from the team and it wasn't nearly as costly as I thought it would be.
