“Whitelam Books absolutely made my day! From the moment I walked in, they made me feel completely at home and spoke to me like a real human being.

I have to give a special shoutout to Harriet, who was an absolute delight. She took such great care in beautifully wrapping the gifts I bought for my loved ones—and I love that it’s a complimentary service!

Beyond the wonderful staff, the store is very kid-friendly and hosts book clubs, poetry readings, and so much more. It is a real community hub for people with chiming hearts. Great job creating such a wonderful bookstore!”

“This is by far one of New England's greatest metaphysical shops and Education Centers.Whether you are new to crystals, divination tools, tarot, healing or whatever it may be, this place is incredible. I visited the old place a number of times and the new location is simply incredible.I vowed not to by anything, just take a peak and I left the shop with a large box of an amazing Kwan Yin.They have a fantastic space for classes and workshops. It's absolutely worth taking a drive out there.”

“So happy to have found this gem in Plaistow. Very welcoming vibe between the friendly employees, music, and fun signage (the Heated Rivalry sign made me laugh out loud). At the 50 cent discount book bin I was shocked to find best sellers and Pulitzer finalists. My total was $23 for 15 books - what a steal! Excited to go back”

“Friday night, I thought I had traveled back in time to the early nineties and walked into the Barnes and Noble where I had bought my first book as a 12-year old in Burlington, MA. Classical music was playing. The books on the display tables were normal?? The staff was friendly and helpful. Even the layout of the store felt strangely familiar. I bought books. I sat in the cafe and drank tea. I finally signed up for B&N Rewards, something I have resisted doing for decades.

It was a nostalgic experience, and I will be returning very soon.”
