“Liz is an absolute joy. I have been coming to this location for a while and she always has a smile on her face and is extremely helpful. I tried to ask a man,I believe his name was Shawn, a question and he was very spacey and did not seem to know what was going on. Thank goodness for Liz. She stepped in to help me. Not sure what was going on with Shawn but this is sadly not the first time I have seen him be spacey and just standing at what is the paint center doing nothing while others are working very hard.”
“Wayne and crew are A+ super helpful and knowledgeable about all of my questions with straight answers and no run around. If you need something definitely make this your first stop!”
“First time here. This operation is incredible. Really efficient and helpful front desk, big place with tons of supplies and materials. I will definitely be back!”
“Always help me with my propane- they're all so nice. Gave me a nice amaryllis bulb in a pot for Valentines day and it was lovely when it bloomed. I almost killed it but saved it. Highly recommend!”
“Good old fashioned, family run hardware store. Got some plumbing related parts (O-rings / washers, and tubing) that even the local plumbing specialty store didn't have.”
“We recently were called to this establishment as they had a leaky roof and we are a roofing company. FHC has been around for many years. They have been a big part in the industrial supply business in the New England area, specifically Leominster and Fitchburg, for over 100 years! I met with their staff as they were welcoming and very pleasant. A family run business for many years. My experience with them was exceptional and heartwarming.
For all those who read this review, if you’re in the need of any type of industrial supplies or construction supplies, whether you’re looking for salt in the winter or Tools for your business or industrial chemical cleaners or specialty tools or many other things. I would say, please support this business as it has been a part of our community for many years and hopefully many years more to come!
I give them a five star for their service to the community and their hospitality. We will also be using them ourselves here in the near future!
Thank you, FHC. It was a pleasure doing business.

“Wide selection of tools for a great price. Hope this store doesn't close, it would be a loss. Keep it going and get yourself some new tools, you know you need them.”
“Just wanted to say that I had a great experience. Dropped a couple of screens off for repair. They were done as promised at a very reasonable price.
Bob took over from his Dad in 1975 and in spite of the big box stores has maintained a nice business based on Customer Service and his personality.
Stop in and say Hi.”
“I love shopping here! The staff is always super friendly and really knowledgeable, ready to help you find exactly what you need. It feels great to support a local business that truly cares about its customers!”
“Great service from friendly people.
They have a great price on CO2 tank fills. A tech grabbed my tank to fill it before I got to the counter. I was in and out in fifteen minutes.”

“Had a pressure switch fail and blow a leak. This was the first call I made, he knew what I needed, explained the details, he had them in stock. I picked it up , put it in, , could not have been easier. The hardest part was cleaning up the mess.
He knows his business and his price was excellent.”
“We moved, but when we lived nearby. I shopped there regularly. While prices might be higher than the Big Box stores, the convenience more than makes up for it. They have a great inventory and I always found the service helpful and friendly. I miss it!”
“Always respectable towards every individual, plus a welcoming atmosphere. Prices seem to be exceptionally fair with excellent quality. Always a pleasure to shop at MAKI'S.”
“Breaks my heart that after working at local stores for years and moving 1400 miles away I am no longer able to place an online order unless I can pick it up at a "local" store. Yes, I can get it at a competitor who I know here... but I want to buy from MY HARDWARE store.”
“I've had the pleasure of working with Joe Sibley at at Maki in Gardner and cannot speak highly enough of him and the company overall. Wonderful to work with, they carry almost everything and are very responsive. 10/10.”
