“I’ve lived in Ashland for many years but never realized how many great local businesses there are until I made a point of doing a bit of homework and actually seeking them out. This service shop certainly seems to be one of those hidden gems. I got an oil change for my 2013 Subaru Legacy and had them check out the car in general. A Subaru dealer tried to scam me for $7000 worth of repair work, but the ASC mechanic confirmed what I felt from driving the car — everything is fine. But I do need a new set of tires and will have ASC do the work. The service manager, Bob, has been there for 30+ years. The shop does a brisk business and obviously has a regular customer base. Probably not the cheapest place to get service; but in a time when people aren’t so invested in having long term relationships with their customers, it’s great to do business with people who care.”

I dealt with their president, Erik Dobay, who is professional, helpful, and very polite.
They have a very comfortable waiting room, where they offer free
coffee, tea, fresh popcorn, etc. as well as Wi-Fi.
I had an appointment--which they confirmed the day before by
e-mail--so I had no wait time at all.
I had a small job, but they treated me like a VIP.
They met all my expectations. I would have given them 4.5 stars if I had knows how to show a half star. Maybe I should have given them 5 stars.

“The best gas prices in the area with better savings if paying with cash. They also give you a free Poland Springs water or a cup of coffee with an 8+ gallon fill-up. And every staff member is polite and always smiling. Great place.”
“Went in to get a flat tire fixed, talked with Jonathan he was very polite and professional. He looked at and fixed the tire right away for me was in and out in under 30 mins. I went back the next day and they did my oil change, rotated my tires and inspected the whole vehicle again they were very professional and quick with the work. I would high recommend them to anyone looking to get work done on there car.”

“Don't use Day if you need to fix your car ASAP, but if you can afford to be without your vehicle for awhile, Bob Day is great. He recently replaced the rear beam axle on my car, and he did a great job at a very reasonable cost. He does work at his own pace, which requires you to be patient.”

I was in and out in an hour. Don't waste you're money at the dealerships or the large chains where you are just a number.”
“Bill Nasios and company have a good garage that can repair cars well and I have had very good experience with them. They work on my BMW 7 Series, BMW 3 Series, Chevy truck, and even helped out with my Honda ST1100. Tires, brakes, heating systems, installed a new radiator, installed an electronic upgrade to the 7 series, installed Stainless Steel brake system on the Chevy truck. They are good at electrical repairs also and managed to fix mouse-chewed wires on the truck - amazing to me. This is a very reliable place on the street where McDonald's meets Route 126 in Ashland, and I continue to bring my cars there.”

“I have had many positive experiences with Exxcel! I get my inspection there annually.I’ve had breaks, oil changes, and battery replacement done there too. I believe the prices to be extremely reasonable. I don’t feel like I’m being “sold” things that I do not need. Everything is explained to me so that I know what’s up and why.I don’t live too far from the shop and they went above and beyond by bringing me back home, and picking me up, when my car was ready.
