“Store was clean and well stocked. Prices are fair and they have lots of summer items currently available. My favorite about OCJL is their variety of snacks and foods from other countries. I love that I can experience other countries without breaking the bank.”
“Local institution, overall clothing selection skews older but there's definitely something for everyone. Absolutely worth checking out if you need clothes reasonably priced.”
“If you want nice terracotta and ceramic planters for wicked cheap- go here early in spring- end of March. Also got double shepherds hooks for $15. The medium ceramic planters I got were about $28 each but you can get x-large ones for $40–similar to the ones they sell at nurserys for hundreds of dollars. The key is getting there early in the season because they go fast.”
“magical place full of awesome items cheap like you rich uncle funded your cousin to make walmart :) the five star one is up the road in norwood!! go there for any rug needs its like the arabian nights! run by cool white guys”
“So we went there it was about 20 minutes before closing and there were a lot of people there of that obviously knew it was open they do have a lot of stuff we went in for a phone case for an apple 16 took a few minutes to find it but we did we also got a dog toy and they have a lot more other stuff than you would think of and just to let you know there are stuff that is over $5”
“I usually go there to buy k-cups when I run out and end up walking out of there spending triple what I had intended. This is a good thing. They carry lots of items I use, but didn’t know they had. The staff are all pleasant and seem to enjoy working there.”
“Duane and Jayden were the most patient and attentive people ringing me out and bagging that I've seen in a long time. The store was also severely understaffed, so they were dealing with a lot and handling it like champions. Please give them a raise!!”
“Just wanted someone to know the staff in Rockland tonight, December 29, 2025 was amazing. I had no idea you closed at seven and I had walked in at 6:55. They told me that they closed in five minutes, but they just were letting me know. I told them what I needed, they all were quick to help. And I managed to get out of the store in three minutes… They did not make me feel like I had to go fast. I was the one that felt bad. So I just wanted to say good job to the staff on Monday night.!!!”
“Manager changed, a little more staff, and the store looks much better. Now if only customers could stop abandoning and/or hiding the things they decide they don't actually want to buy. Just hand it off to a staff member who can put it away.”
“Nice little spot to grab some cheap toys for the kids. They’ve got a good mix of candy and all kinds of random stuff — always fun to poke around and see what you find.”
“Great place to shop. Things are very neat and organized. Everything is priced. People are friendly and helpful. They have seasonal items, clothing, cleaning items just to name a few. And they have bags and wrap for gifts.”
“Went in quick for ant baits. Found them easily. Store was neat and clean. Cashier was friendly and helpful. Truly was a quick stop. And prices were comparable. Thank you Dollar General”
“The Ocean State Job Lot is where dreams are made. To whomever wrote the one star review about your shirts getting shoved in the bag, go cry your river somewhere else and show some respect for retail workers on a part-time basis. They're clothes, not eggs, sweetheart. It's a not Pier 1 Imports so next time don't go and check yourself Love all the Krazy deals with a "K". Pro-tip: don't forget to utilize the online catalog which has even sweeter deals. I love the wild surprises in the sauce or bev aisle. Try to come here at least once/week.”
“Love Christmas crafts so I always shopped the W. Bridgewater store - complete and total mess. Decided to try Belmont Street - could not believe I was in a Dollar Tree - clean, neat, and so well stocked”
“Great for all my household need’s,Went in the other day, the guy on the floor helped me. Little patience because he doesn’t speak good English / a little he does but he was very helpful with helping me find something that I need. Everyone is friendly”
“Well stocked shelves, neat and clean. Dedicated employees. Store run by females who never complain and actually do there job! Younger generation should pay attention to work ethic!!!”
“Today I had to go to Family Dollar to get stuff to clean my Shower and there was a young man with long blonde hair and another woman and her marriage and I was his elderly woman who want to pay like literally $.10 for her check and all I can say is kudos to that team the woman behind the desk I don’t know her name and I’m so mad I don’t but she did amazing and I have to say is please keep the Rockland family dollar open And to keep the people employed today especially at 1:27 PM on Wednesday October 27, 2022 ?”
“They now sell Pokémon trading cards, masks, pajamas, beach toys, coin rolls, party favors, party hats, party banners, toys and games, beauty supplies, home décor and more. Bat bus routes 3 and 4 stop here.”
“As someone mentioned this store is tucked into the corner of a little plaza that features a Roche Brothers that I regularly go to on Rt 138 in Easton. It's so unassuming that even myself who will check out any store anytime have never been compelled to enter. Generally I enjoy rummaging through the bargain bins, dollar stores and discount outlets etc so I'm kind of surprised I've never walked in. Today though I spent a ton on food and on the way out remembered that I had forgotten laundry detergent and not wanting to backtrack for 1 item it clicked in my brain that I could get a cheap stop-gap bottle at the Dollar Store. Upon entering the store it did appear a bit dim and dingy but not sure how to really jazz up a store that depends on nickels and dimes. I did walk every isle as you never know what cheap gems awaits and in fact did find a dish towel, a candle, bathroom spray and my cheap laundry detergent. I really would like to know if there is several dollars difference in the quality and performance of this generic brand vs say Tide. Canned green beans major brand at Roche Bros 1.99 here $1 and good till 12/21. Who knows. Very impressed with Jody at the register who was completely wiping it down, the belt, credit card processor everything. I ask her if it was due to the corona-virus scare that's in the air 24-7 and she said no I do it for every customer as long as there is no line. Hmm Maybe she knows something about the clientele that I don't but I did appreciate it. I would definitely go back when looking for "dollar type items" (although I am waiting to see if my cloths are going to disintegrate.) One thing if you have little kids say age 3 to 8 they have at least 3 long racks of toys and books so you may be able to get them off your back and buy some immediate gratification for a few measly bucks.”
“Very convenient place to get what you need at a discounted price especially hair products. Owner is very friendly and keep the place neat and clean.Sn: be sure to park in the back or you’ll get a tix in 2 seconds haha”
“First visit for myself my Niece of course knows the place quite well they do have a cute selection of clothes a lot of ethnic themed items which i thought was cool . My Neice is of color as well ..and the young lady at the register today was so sweet! Very friendly helpful . So i gave this store 5 stars well deserved!”
“This past weekend I had the best experience of my life at a Five Below. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. They assisted me with looking for the items I needed for my daughters birthday party, checked the back room for anything that may have been out of stock, with some items being found! Whatever was not found the associate was able to find another location nearby that had it in stock, or where in the area may have it. The same associate greeted me at checkout and happily inflated just under a dozen balloons for us. She even asked us how we wanted to personalize our display and layered the balloons so we would have less work at our party. I've been to this location previously but mostly kept to myself, and have never experienced the horror stories that other reviews are leaving. It makes me think they must be guilty of some of the things they're being accused of and mad they got caught. This is my favorite location and none of your bad reviews will ever make me think otherwise. Thank you”
“Well I like going to this Family Dollar, it's not crowded, the cashier's are friendly, I am able to find and purchase what I came to get and then some. Thanks”
“Don't underestimate $Tree. Major chain stores sometimes lack items that can be found there at unbeatable prices. Quality, variety, affordability, availability, and reliability of products are what make $Tree sustainable through the years. The household offering is innovative. The snacks line decent. Thanks goodness their locations are popular and a life saver!”
“I have to say. The service was Really exceptional. The cashier's, the individuals that stock were very helpful. I was looking for quality stocking stuffers. I got these hand sanitizers, in the wonderful fresh scents, Peach, cucumber, Confetti cake with these awesome holders. Candles, cups, cookie decorationing kit...very good for the budget friendly ???⛄”
“One of my new found treasures and its less than a mile away what a greatfunn and helpful staff they have I spent three hours in there and they were not rude I felt relaxed and comfortable thank you Boston furniture”
“I gave it four stars because it's a great Store you can find anything in everything there. But There is a lady that will ask you not to touch unless you buy it. But other than that, it is a great store.”
“It seems like this store has been doing better than it was last year! Thank goodness! I've been noticing it's staffed better now and because of that there's product being put on the shelves and the line moves quickly. Everyone seems happy to work there too!”
Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
