I wish I could give negative stars. Amerigas is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, in any area of business. They over charge, lie, don’t do what they say, create problems and then charge you for them, etc. Then, when you call in, you talk to overseas people that don’t understand anything, let alone how propane, power, scheduling, solving problems, work. It’s beyond belief how bad they are in every way. Stay far far away from this company.

We gave very specific details on when we would be on site at our seasonal cottage on Cape Cod. The Amerigas team decided to come out at a completely different time and because weren’t there and they couldn’t get into the house, they locked our propane tank. We Fully understand that they need to get inside to ensure safe access and function to the propane appliances, however, they came at a time that was never discussed. Since then they have sent us an $800 bill to cover the cost of a “lockout” and the propane (propane is minimal). We’ve tried to resolve this amicably, but anyone that we can talk to, which of course is no one local, simply states that that’s the charge- End of story. We are absolutely shocked as we’ve been customers of Amerigas for well over 20 years. Their lack of concern and unwillingness to consider their part in this error is absolutely horrible. We also don’t have much recourse because in order for us to switch to a different propane service we would have to pay a $1500 first time application, etc. etc. We are absolutely screwed thanks to Amerigas. IF you have any choice to go with any other service provider, I would do it, and I will certainly plan on getting away from Amerigas as soon as possible.

I repeatedly told you I only wanted two deliveries per year and to cancel the rest because my tanks were full and the house is seasonal. I was told the schedule was all set. Then I get a notice that you were going to make another delivery. I called and emailed to have that canceled because the tanks were full. You ignored my request. When I request a delivery schedule I expect you to stick to it. They delivered less than 1/2 gallon and charged me about $30 for a delivery fee after I requested it to be cancelled. I’ll be looking for another service provider soon.

I am getting deliveries every 2 weeks. Small amounts. Today 15 gallons. I assume I am paying a delivery charge each time. I am going to switch suppliers if this keeps up.

After waiting for 40 minutes I was disconnected. This was the 4th time I tried calling to resolve an issue. When my tank is empty I am cancelling my account with Amerigas, the worst customer service in the world!!

The local office & delivery personnel are very helpful, unfortunately when you call phone number it sends you into the automated system and there's no way to reach your local office. The automated system uses an international call center where service representatives read off a script and supervisors refuse to help, putting the blame on the customer for any issues you may have.
