It didn't know my foundation color, Jessie helped me. I'm pretty new to make up and she answered all my questions. Jessie was very patient we tried out three or four different foundations, color correction, etc. and left with some free samples to try out. Very busy store, I'm very surprised on how quickly I was helped. Great staff.

Only thing that bothers me is they keep getting rid of lines of skincare I like. Limited selection of brands.

Bought a lipstick and rarely used it. Today I found out it got somehow loose and keeps felling out of its packaging so I went into the store. The store associate was super nice, told me it might be broken from the start and I could get an exchange. Another store associate showed up to tell me I am over the 60 days return policy (by 7 !!! days) and hence no exchange will happen. She offered me to throw the lipstick out.
I did not just change my mind. I got sold a faulty product.
SEPHORA announced record growth in revenue for 2023. So they don’t need my business and are more than happy to dispose myself as a customer like my broken lipstick.
Any reason I need SEPHORA in my life?

The Most uninformed staff I have ever come across. I asked what the top note (s) were in a specific, very popular perfume were, she said "Fresh I think?"... When i asked if maybe it would say on the display, because i was curious & the store was heavily scented being the day before Mothers day, she said "No" i walked over to it, and clear as day it was listed. I will stick to online ordering moving forward., just when I thought it couldn't get worse, I had an in store only return. Rude as hell, dismissive, 4 people at podium. Zero at register. When she did grace me with her presence (they probably would let you use a little dry shampoo if you asked for those roots), she was just so Not helpful, and unpleasant I couldn't wait to get out of this store.

Have had experiences where the staff were condescending and felt unwelcoming.

Honestly the rudest employees iv encountered. I was shopping minding my business not wanting to be bothered and two workers both uncomfortably and awkwardly came close to me watching me like they worked for the damn FBI!!! Never felt so uncomfortable! It's like no one wants the recipe to your moms peach cobbler back of let a women buy some damn lipstick.

I haven't been writing reviews. Bought a house, moved back to NYC, and college applications = overload. But I was up at the Cape a few days after seeing Comics Come Home 27 at TD Garden and left my makeup bag in the trunk of a friend's car. I was unable to retrieve it (God knows why, as I had rented a car) and my skin was dying of dryness. I wish I had written down the lovely woman's name (not Athena but something like that). She guided me to the Tatcha display (I've been using many of the products since 2017) but a full Dewy moisturizer was in the car en route to CT from the Palisades and I didn't want to rebuy. She directed me to a product I've never used, and as the kids say, I'm obsessed. The blue Indigo mask (it's basically a heavy night repair so not sure what makes it a "mask") but I absolutely love it. Now that I have my stuff back (both the stuff in the car and the bag left in a trunk), I'm still using it. I didn't have an account and she signed me up, which gave me a little discount on the stuff I bought. Plus a free gift of a product I absolutely love. The shampoo/leave-in conditioner/body wash travel set is terrific. I would buy that shampoo and conditioner in a full size. It was a terrible rainy day after a horrifying move in which I lost security deposit, got robbed /betrayed, lost original files, and much more. I will always remember this little light in a dark time (plus endless bank loan nightmares: US BANK is the absolute worst on so many levels but I didn't choose the lender and now I'm saddled with a bank that has NO branches in NYC or CT, and can't manage to send checks, or debit card). The Cape Cod Mall is much bigger than I expected. They had vegan cupcakes and treats in a vending machine by the front entrance. Also, I cannot disagree more strongly with the snobbiness other Yelpers are describing. She didn't hover or push me to buy anything. Sweet young girl and the rest of the staff had zero attitude. Nothing like a Sephora in a big city or expensive large town. This didn't even feel like a Sephora. Just a beauty store on the Cape.

Buying makeup can be overwhelming with all the brands and all their individual options. I want to give a huge thank you to Judith for helping me figure out my shade matches and taking the time to walk around the store and try what worked best for me. It was really appreciated!!

I’ve been in here several times and the staff are always so passive and rude so I just try to get in and out as fast as I can since I love Sephora but hate this location. I think you need to address some training issues here and it might be a better place to shop.
