We completed a ring (which my wife liked) over the two day 6 hour course. I have had some previous experience but this was an excellent learning process that taught me many things that improved my skills. Highly recommend taking this learning journey!! “Great place for a great cause. This non-profit helps children receive all necessary clothing and hygiene products. During the summer time, they prepare school backpacks full of school supplies. Many options to be involved, by donating or volunteering.”
“This is primarilly a non-profit used book store but also has clothing and household accessiries. The store hires people from 16 to 24 who are struggling and helps to give them the life skills for further employment and like skills to succeed. They take donations of clothing and housdwares as well as books only excluding textbooks. Their store and workspace is going to be expanded shortly.
This us a great asset to the community serving Waltham and surrounding areas.”

“Beautiful space showcasing local artists. Small venue is perfect after a lunch or between activities. Spend 20-30 minutes unless shopping stunning finely crafted pieces for sale. Finds include jewelry, wood works, toys and decor pieces in pottery and paintings.”
“All I can say is in the 60's, this was the place to go. They had sailboats, row boats, all kinds of stuff to do. I rode my bike there from somerville. I think the guy running the sailing ⛵️ program name was sully? Maybe. You had to pass and get a sailing certificate first. I can't believe that place is still there.”
“The Food Project-- awesome for so many reasons. But, never having purchased their CSA or been to one of their farmers' markets (though I definitely trust other reviewers' 5-star assessments), the basis of my review are their volunteer opportunities and workshops/events for the general public. I met one of my really good friends while volunteering at the Food Projects' urban farm near Dudley Square, where I also got my first experience in urban gardening. The staff are friendly and welcoming to all, whether you're an individual or group (just make sure you arrange ahead of time if you're bringing a big group of people). It's a great place to get your hands dirty and know that you're making a difference in the community by helping a great organization. The cooking workshops they offer at their Dudley Street HQ are also great. Knowledgeable community members teach classes on bread-making, pickling, various cultural cuisines (i.e., Sudanese or Cape Verdean), and all classes are donation-based. Cooking workshops typically run in the late winter and early spring--just in time for you to have some new ideas about how to use the harvest from the coming growing season!-- so keep an eye on TFP's Facebook page or e-mail list for updates on the workshops in mid-winter. There are also gardening workshops offered throughout the spring, and a spring seedling sale.”

“I showed up as this place was closing. The woman running it took pity and let me look around while she shut down - extremely kind of her. She has worked on bringing this home and the story of this family into the light. It is a wonderful telling of a black family who lived here. She has worked extremely hard to know more about the families and the people who lived here. I could tell her effort in this project as she told me stories about a black woman suing and another who trained to be a teacher. I'm grateful she let me look around.”

“Lovelane is such a magical place. Every single staff member radiates with warmth and care and the horses are beautiful and healthy. My children have made so much progress since we started coming here, and beam with delight on their weekly lesson day. “My 5 year old son is learning piano with Dr. Daniel Nayman at the Powers Music School. We were impressed by Daniel's teaching experience, patience with young kids and great communication. My son loves to go to piano lesson every week. Highly recommend Daniel to anyone who is looking for a piano teacher. Powers Music has all sorts of other music lessons too. School location is great. Big parking lot is a plus.”

“Minuteman set up Clinton Livery who arrived on time and drove me to Beth Isreal in Boston for a doctor's appointment. The driver was wonderful and very helpful as he arranged how to get in touch with him for the return trip. He was also very interesting to talk to. This service was extremely helpful as it's almost impossible to find anyone to help get you into Boston these days. The driver also went over the route with me, so maybe I can drive in myself next time.”
