About Boston Private Industry Council

The Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) is a nonprofit organization that works to strengthen Boston’s communities and workforce by connecting youth and adults with education and employment opportunities. It serves as the city’s MassHire Workforce Board and school-to-career intermediary, bringing together employers, educators, and workforce organizations to guide education and workforce preparation. PIC helps support youth by building their professional skills and providing high school internships that give valuable experience and encourage college preparation. The organization offers many resources and connections, especially to students in Boston Public Schools, helping them explore future careers. The work of PIC is highly appreciated for opening opportunities and supporting young people’s success. Overall, PIC plays a key role in helping people find meaningful employment and improve their lives.
