This Washington street, Salvation Army, has a food bank, can provide a clothing voucher for Goodwill, and sometimes has other items available, like suitcases, and clothing. This Salvation Army food bank, has kept me, fed, and living better, with generous amounts, on non-perishable foods, for a number of years, and their services, are available, to others, who are poor, and/or, completely homeless-as, I am. “Thank you so much for this wonderful place. I’m an active duty Sailor and this place was recommended to me by my CO. Stayed three nights and slept like a baby. Wonderful breakfast and coffee available all day long. Seriously appreciate this R&R opportunity before heading back out to sea again. Some pics of my room (the mess is my fault; I’m about to check out)There are a few rules that come with staying here so if your goal is come to Boston to get sloshed this might not be the right place to stay the night.Driving and need to park overnight?Postal parking garage is about a 18 min walk from here. $9 a night.”

“The TCC is an amazing non-profit childcare center in the heart of Boston. It is located on the 2nd floor of the State Transportation building. Our twins have attended since about 6 months of age and are currently in the junior preschool classroom, and our infant daughter is enrolled in the infant classroom. The teachers and leadership are great and caring. The facility is secure and includes a wonderful private roof-top outdoor play deck which the children get to enjoy year-round (weather permitting). During the summer the classrooms also occasionally take trips to the Public Garden or the local firehouse to take advantage of this central location. Our twins love attending and have learned so much from the curriculum. The TCC uses the Tadpoles app for documenting each day's activities and the teachers include lots of pics. There is an underground parking garage that one can use for free for 30 minutes for drop-offs and pick-ups by car if needed. The students come from all over Boston to attend, including families like us who live close by and walk, those whose parents work in the building, or those who see the TCC as a center of excellence and is worth driving to for their kids. As it is a non-profit, the prices are great as well. We highly recommend it!”

“My experience with my doctors and nurses and all the staff at South Boston Community Health Center has been life changing - Very positive!!!I used to belong to the major health center in Boston. It grew too big and patients like me became invisible. I switched to SBCHC about 3 years ago. I always have quick responses from the staff when I have questions regarding my health or any insurance or billing issue.As a man who check the "YES" box if asked if I belonged to a minority group, I find the health center very welcoming. I am very glad to have found all my care under one roof. I am relieved to have found you after years of a decline in care from the former major health center in the Fenway area of Boston.Great job SBCHC! Thank you!”

“We booked space at the nonprofit center for a networking dinner and guest speaker for our members. We had a large conference room with tables and chairs. It was already set up for us, but for the few tables we decided to move around at the last minute, it was easy because everything was on wheels! Wifi password was clearly posted and wifi worked well. The space we used, the hallways, and the restrooms were clean and tidy. We were very happy to find this affordable space that was perfect for our needs. Staff of the center was an absolute joy to work with and the security guard they contracted for our event was also fantastic. Oh - and it's right across the street from South Station (literally a 3 minute walk) so that's convenient!”

“We serendipitously happened upon the Freedom Trail Foundation tour while traveling through Boston on the way to Maine. Because we found and bought the tickets day of, my partner and I had relatively tempered expectations-- we really just wanted an affordable walking tour that'd give us a taste of Boston. Thanks to our lovely guide, Jeremiah Poope, our expectations were well exceeded! His knowledge of Boston's colonial and revolutionary routes had breadth and depth. Jeremiah's sense of humor was greatly entertaining-- his jabs at Paul Revere convinced me that the iconic figure's importance was indeed inflated in American history narratives!! Kind-hearted and spirited, Jeremiah did a wonderful job ensuring all guests were able to follow along and hear him well. We truly enjoyed learning more about Boston and its extensive history.
