“completed the jewelry 101 course. Fantastic instructor who led us through a series of steps learning the correct techniques on every tool in the Artisan's Asylum jewelry shop. We completed a ring (which my wife liked) over the two day 6 hour course. I have had some previous experience but this was an excellent learning process that taught me many things that improved my skills. Highly recommend taking this learning journey!! Great value for your money.”

“My almost 2.5-year-old started daycare for the very first time about six months ago at Transportation Children’s Center, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. My son has a speech delay and before starting TCC he was extremely shy, clingy, and very much “all about mom” (still is..). I was so nervous about how the adjustment period would go since it was his first time being taken care of by someone other than mom or dad—but thanks to the incredibly patient, caring, and attentive teachers at TCC, the transition was smoother than I ever could have imagined. Since starting, he has grown into a much more confident and independent little boy. Every single day he is learning something new, and I am constantly blown away by the thoughtful, creative, and engaging activities they plan for the children. You can truly feel how much love, intention, and expertise goes into everything they do. TCC is truly a hidden gem in the Back Bay that not many parents realize is even an option—and we feel so incredibly lucky to have found it. Choosing TCC has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our son. We are so grateful for this amazing community and could not be happier with our experience here.”

“I have been going here for many years. The revovations that have been done and the updating that keeps happening have transformed this place from a typical veteran or social club bar into something pretty remarkable. The people who frequent the Post are friendly as is the staff. There are often veteran related events as well as local private events held there without detracting from each other. It is home to both the Italian American War Veterans Post 6 the American Legion Post 30. It has new signage to reflect the work that has been put into it, making it a museum as well as a bar. The walls are covered with photos and relics of past wars and warriors including a WW2 Jeep inside the bar. Since it is now considered a museum and not just a veterans post, it is open to the general public. Truly a remakable place. Parking can be a little difficult during busy times but that is true of so many places in the city. Check it out, look at the items on the walls, learn some things about the relics there and have a good time.”
“It's a good gym. Can get a bit crowded in the afternoon and late at night during the summer. The equipment is mostly satisfactory, though sometimes there can be a line. Not sure if the AC has been broken or off, but it can get pretty hot sometimes. The water fountain has been broken and the vending machine out of service for a while. Some of the front desk staff aren't super well-versed in the policies. The group exercise classes can be hit or miss, but I really enjoy Leo's Monday night Zumba. The (summer) hours could be better, with the gym closing at 5pm on weekends and the weights floor closing 15 minutes before actual closing time.”

“An Absolutely wonderful organization! Would give ten stars if possible! I couldn't even put into words the work they do for families who are going thru a nightmare. Unfortunately my 12 year old son has Ewing's Sarcoma(bone cancer) in a very rare location. We were lucky enough to have this non profit put us up in a apt directly across the street from Mass General so we could stay close to him during his long treatment. This group of individuals are angels and we will forever be indebted to them. Thank you Christopher Haven!”

This Washington street, Salvation Army, has a food bank, can provide a clothing voucher for Goodwill, and sometimes has other items available, like suitcases, and clothing. This Salvation Army food bank, has kept me, fed, and living better, with generous amounts, on non-perishable foods, for a number of years, and their services, are available, to others, who are poor, and/or, completely homeless-as, I am. “It was far out people, it was like a slice of heaven served on a silver platter. As soon as I returned back home from a good long time out there wandering around and all that jazz I finally sat down in my favorite maroon colored recliner chair and had the wifey make me my favorite dinner, a nice greasy pork chop sandwich served on a dirty ashtray.
