About Emerson Colonial Theatre
The Emerson Colonial Theatre is Boston's oldest continually operating theatre and is considered the birthplace of musical theatre. It is a beautiful and historic venue that recently reopened on June 27 with the world premiere of MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL. The theatre features great staff, friendly ushers, and a clean environment. The seats are quite tight, with little legroom, which can be uncomfortable for taller or larger guests. Despite this, the venue offers good sightlines and a lovely atmosphere. The bar staff are friendly and efficient, and the merchandise shop is well-liked. Visitors recommend arriving early for bathrooms due to long lines and note that the theatre is small but stunning, making it a popular spot for memorable performances.

This theater is so-so. They make you wait a long time in the lobby before you can enter the theater. I just don't get. I saw Queen of Versailles here with Kristin Chenoweth. She's always great.

Amazing venue. Great staff. Extremely tight seats though. If you're even remotely overweight or tall. Be warned it's a super tight fit.

LOVE RUSH TICKETS! legroom is kinda awful. also i need that one box office lady to not give every single person attitude every single time. i’ve come to this theatre 11 times and it’s the same every time.
