“This little gift shop is the best place to go for your quality gifts and recommendations! Dan (proprietor) couldn’t have been any more friendly, or helpful! We purchased a 100% cotton t-shirt, which was excellent quality. We were looking for pizza recommendations and Dan suggested; “Umberto’s,” and man oh man, was he spot on!This Boston Gift store has been here since the 1800’s - so you know they’re doing it right!Thank you Dan!”

“I stumbled upon this store recently and absolutely loved it. They sell an assortment of household items and souvenir's. The store is quite spacious and very tidy. the staff were exceptionally nice and very welcoming. If you're going to support a local business then please consider it being Essex Corner.”

“Great survenoir store for shirts, pins, and other Boston MA merchandise. A bit overpriced ($35.00 for a shirt) but that is the nature of being in a tourist area. Cheaper than airport prices for surveniors though. I would recommend this place to buy your Boston MA surveniors if you are in the downtown Boston area.”

“A favorite neighborhood shop where I always find the best gifts and tend to leave with something for myself as well. If you're looking for the treasures you find when shopping small and local, this is the place. And during the holidays, they have the best ornaments.”

“The employees at this store are so thoughtful! When they sold out of a stuffed animal I was trying to get for a christmas present they said they would let me know if it came back in stock. A few days later someone took the time to text me and let me know that they had one I could come pick up! Love this place - great customer service.”

“The gentleman working at this shop was so welcoming and friendly! I was so incredibly glad to find a gift shop because they seem hard to come by these days! He apologized for the lack of variety but honestly, I found everything I was looking for and more.”

“This shop is absolutely the best place I’ve visited in Boston!! Michael is a wonderful owner and he made my experience at his store even better with his personality. He has beautiful merch from the wizarding world of Harry Potter. If you get the chance, you have to stop by his shop, it’s as authentic as you can get!!”

“We thought the selection was cute in the first floor - then we find that there's a floor below that includes a room full of niche products. Whoever is curating their selection of vendors and products - good job. I found most of my souvenir/gifts for friends and family in one go and some others for myself.”

“Our daughter was traveling on business during her birthday. We requested the arrangement be delivered to her hotel. It arrived in the morning and was as pictured. The fruit was very good as well. The only disappointment was you have to spend an additional $6 for a card to tell who the gift is from. In the end it was worth it. We picked this location based on reviews and are grateful to those who leave honest reviews.”

“Please read because the rating should have been a negative star!!! I couldn't get besides myself and give five whole stars, still had to remove one for the experience. The four are specially for Eddie, one of the managers during the week!! I'm late with this review, I hope it catches you before you place your Valentine's day order. Beware!!!!! I'd go to a different location unless I can confirm that Eddie will be overlooking your order. I had a horrible experience here. Ordered for my friends bday, while I knew she would be home to receive it ON her actual birthday. I paid for add-ons and a custom card with a heartfelt message and beautiful picture of her. They decided to set my delivery for the NEXT day without consulting me. When I called they told me that someone called and asked them to deliver on Sunday instead of Saturday. Complete LIE! If I called and said that, I wouldn't be calling to inquire about why it wasn't delivered yet and why the tracking now said Sunday delivery when my order AND email confirmation are for Saturday delivery. Now of course they go deliver on Sunday and no one is home! I call corporate, because at this point, her birthday was yesterday, so my gift is already ruined. My very expensive gift, because imagine paying almost $100 on fruit (a small twix arrangement) only for them to ruin the entire experience. I'm so upset even thinking about it and this was a month ago. Now, it's Monday, and it gets delivered, NO card (remember I paid extra for a custom card), and my friend calls asking if I sent her something. She sent me pics and the fruit were falling OFF the skewers, they were wet and soggy and had clearly been FROZEN, you could see all the condensation. The strawberries were watery, I mean completely unacceptable. I had already told corporate I didn't want it replaced, and that I'd wait til delivery to decide. I sent them pics via email as proof. The store manager Eddie calls me to apologize on behalf of the weekend staff, as he wasn't there but he did hear about it and he assured me that he had staff with him that had over 10 years experience and would do a great job. He also let me know the printer had been down (why didn't the weekend staff SAY that when I inquired the first time and refund me for the custom card instead of sending a BLANK card that caused the recipient to play guessing games?). Anyway, Eddie had a beautiful and delicious arrangement delivered, with the custom add-ons and custom card. She was so happy (I'm sure she would've been happier if she received it on her birthday and not 3 days later). The original mug it was delivered in was also CRACKED and glued back together. Just complete nonsense. Thank you again Eddie!!!!”

“My husband and I went here tonight for dinner. Our last night in Woodstock. The service was great and I always love the pottery dishes and glassware that they make and use in the restaurant. We had an appetizer which was a short rib spring roll which was way too filling so we asked to have half of it boxed to go. Actually if I was a “high class” restaurant I would have taken it away and put in a container and brought back later rather than the waiter dumping it in a container at the table. Too sensitive? So my husband had braised short ribs which were very good but a little greasy. I had ravioli which was really awful. The description was “spinach and dried cherries, sage, brown butter and shaved Parmesan. So my expectation was that the ravioli would be stuffed with spinach etc. instead the ravioli was stuffed with sage and Parmesan and fried to the consistency of a hockey puck. Then they were perched on a bed of greasy spinach and red cherries. I was really disappointed and told the manager and he agreed with me. Hopefully they take this off the menu. Sorry Simon Pearce. But your place is beautiful!”
