“We had a fantastic experience with Gaya from Divine Design. Our general contractor, Core Group, introduced us to Gaya once they learned of the ideas we had for built-ins in our relatively small one bedroom condo. Gaya activity listened to our vision and far exceeded our expectations on the design. Not only did she design cabinets with vast amounts of storage but she also introduced us to incredible wall paper that is actually art. We are incredibly happy with the outcome and grateful to Gaya and the team from the Core Group who did an outstanding job.”

“Anime Zakka is a nice store located near the end of Newbury Street, close to Uniqlo and Muji. It is below ground, leading you into a place to be immersed by anime and Japanese pop culture.

I enjoyed browsing and wandering around the store, as there were many products I’ve never heard of or seen. I found Tomica cars, a product I’ve never seen in Boston before but know many car collectors may enjoy looking at. I also found many stuffed animals I never knew existed for products I like, such as Miffy.

The only downside is the products I did know were overpriced. I am a big fan of collecting lottery items, and they were nearly double the price at the store compared to what I could buy it for at online retailers.”

“Hudson is easily one of the most inspiring and special spaces in the South End. Jill’s design team is absolutely top-notch—the curation in there is flawless—but the store is also a real anchor for the community. I’ve been to an incredible book signing event there, and the vibe is always immaculate. Massive shoutout to Paige and Kelly up front, who are consistently phenomenal, incredibly helpful, and just full of great energy. It’s exactly the kind of independent, design-forward business that makes a neighborhood great.”

“Lekker is absolutely my furniture store in the greater Boston area. I trust that everything they carry is of very good quality, both creatively and physically. Yes, it is expensive - but I am confident everything they sell is priced fairly and commensurately with quality. We have bought many pieces from here and will continue to do so. It's really a treasure to have a showroom like this in the city that's run by people who care so much about the goods they purvey.”

“Absolutely the most amazing service in helping us with the designs for our new home. Mila presented several different options for our outdoors (each one more stunning than the other) & several pieces for indoors which made our home unique. The quality of the furniture and lighting are 5 star. I have never been able to find the one to one service & reliability as we received from Mila. Thank You!”

“The best customer service on the planet. We purchased a couch from them in June (the Weber with chaise) and the chaise just wasn't long enough so we exchanged for the Metro with chaise. It was comfy and deep; however the gap between the chaise and middle seat was huge (abnormally so), after a long period of trying different suggestions, moving cushions, dropping and reshaping nothing was working to lessen the gap. I noticed the Weber had a new option of the longer chaise so I reached out about another exchange and they were super accommodating. I sent a few pictures of the issue and they quickly agreed to another exchange. The delivery service people are always fantastic. Every single person I have ever interacted with at the company has been wonderful. The Weber is a dream. A fluffy cloud that feels like it will last forever.”

“Prices and quality aside (tends to be hit or miss w/ UO), the staff were lovely at this location! Super friendly, and OMG the store was so organized! Even the sale section was relatively easy to browse. ☺️

(I went to a different UO earlier in the day and ended up leaving because the disarray there overwhelmed me ?)”

“Urban Outfitters on Newbury Street is a well-located store in one of Boston's better shopping corridors, and the physical space itself is a point in its favor. The layout is logical, the store is generally clean, and the selection tracks closely with what is available on the website, which matters for anyone who wants to see or feel something before committing to a purchase. The sale section is worth checking on most visits and tends to have enough turnover to reward regular stops.

The product range covers clothing, accessories, and a smaller home section, though the home goods and bedding selection in store is considerably thinner than what the website suggests. For clothing and accessories the in-store inventory is more representative of what the brand offers.

On good visits the floor staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, and the fitting room assistance in particular has been noted positively. On other visits the checkout experience has fallen short.

For a Newbury Street shopping stop the location is convenient and the store covers the Urban Outfitters format competently on most visits.”

“This location is fantastic! The entire team was so incredible from start to finish in helping us find the perfect sofa. So nice to be able to go to a physical store and we’re so glad this location didn’t close. Best customer service, ever!

Also, they validate parking for the nearby lot! Can’t recommend them enough.”
