I AM Books is a beloved bookstore in Boston's historic North End neighborhood. It offers a wonderful atmosphere with a very friendly and helpful staff. The store has a particularly strong focus on Italian and Italian American authors, featuring a good selection of Italian books and even better translated Italian works. While the scope is not narrow, the inventory includes a diverse selection of authors beyond this focus. The selection is interesting and decent, with lots of things you don't normally get to touch and leaf through, including an expansive selection of educational books. There is also a great children's section. The array and pricing has something for all. In addition to books, the store offers many Boston souvenir items and many types of cute stationary items. There is a discount section as well. People enjoy browsing, often sitting on the floor to look through books. The booksellers are knowledgeable gems who are understanding and helpful. Many visitors spend more time than expected and highly recommend the store, considering it a favorite and a true delight. It is noted as a nice place to visit and is believed to be the only Italian American bookstore in the US.
Their array and pricing has something for all. I always have to stop to look at the books outside and I love that inside people sit on the floor and look through books. The only thing missing is a cat that will sit in the sun and sometimes choose you to be the one to lay with as you browse.

We just happened on this place. We spent way more time than we expected! They have a really interesting selection-lots of Italian obviously, but things you just don't get to touch and leaf through. Great children's section too Loved it!
