Very nice and comfortable room. They have a $150 per night deposit fee that they do not mention in the reservation process and when you get to the hotel they charge it on your card along with the rest of the charges. They do not refund a single cent until the last day of your stay. In my case it was $750 that I would have liked to spend on my trip in this gorgeous city instead of having it blocked on my card by this hotel. Nobody could help us with this issue.Rooms: nice room comfortable and nicely decoratedWalkability: good locationNoteworthy details: $150 PER NIGHT deposit that is not mentioned until you get to the property

Everything was exquisite! From check in to check out, and everything in between was amazing! Adam (concierge) went above and beyond for me and my daughter. I am an AGM and I’ve been in the hotel industry for 17 years and this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in. I will definitely be back!

A beautiful hotel right on the water in downtown Boston. The hotel was in walking distance to all the things we wanted to do and see while in

My recent stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations, largely thanks to Jeremy at the front desk. Not only was he incredibly helpful and friendly, but he also ensured my stay was comfortable. Also, I found that he is a Cornell graduate as I am working there.Jeremy's choice for a room with a street view was outstanding. Unlike my previous experiences facing other buildings, the scenic view added extra enjoyment to my family stay.In addition to the outstanding service, the hotel's location is outstanding. Located in the center of Boston, it gives convenient access to numerous attractions. Moreover, being close to the Red Line, accessing MIT and Harvard was great. A short walk across the bridge led to Trader Joe's and Shake Shack burgers.

I've had the pleasure of staying at the Intercontinental Boston a few times and it has always been a great experience. The proximity to South Station and the Seaport is a huge plus. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. The staff is helpful and kind. The food (even room service when doing renovations) is delicious. Totally worth a stay when looking for a place in that part of town!

This was an unpleasant experience. My stay was booked back in December and nothing was mentioned about construction and restaurants being closed. There was no bottled water in my room yet they have a coffee pot? There was no flat sheet so you have to sleep under the comforter that rarely gets washed. When they cleaned my room they touched and moved all of my toiletries for no reason. And left no clean towels. They even wrapped the cord on my Dyson around extremely tight and that is not appropriate for storage, plus there was no reason to have touched it in the first place. On my last day when I tried to close the shower door the handle came off. Really poor quality hotel. Way too expensive for this unpleasant stayWalkability: Close to the harbor

The hotel will overcharge you and then not respond to you if you follow up with them about the charges. Took a credit card charge back and an email to IHGs CEO, Investor Relations, and IHG ambassador program to finally get a response. I don't know what racket Patrick McInerney is running over there. Besmirching the McInerney name. Plenty of other nice hotels in Boston. Don't need to stay at this one and risk being over charged with no resolution until you have a credit card company back you.

The location is good, but really poor customer service, not worth a five star hôtel. As an IHG platinum member, i was chocked by the check in and front desk service, and the overall customer service in the hotel. The front desk dont really pay attention to you and expedite the Check-in. They put me in the wrong room category and i had to wait almost 30 minutes to get a New room that didnt have any water in it. I had few issues with my booking and they were completely helpless and not willing to help at all.People are not smiling nor welcoming. I will not Come back to this hôtel again
