This place is the best community organized bookstore in Boston. They are legit and have variety of writings by many radical writers. Great place.

May Lucy Parsons name be actually honored and a space like this be built where BIPOC community members can feel welcomed. My limited experiences at the store have been alright, not the best. My experiences with individuals volunteering, terrible. Great selection of books though and events held by community members within the building.

It is a place where from the moment you enter and see the atmosphere you realize that you are not going to have a good time, especially because of the people who work there

The only thing leftist about this place are the books they sell. One of the owners is a trust fund kid, who couldn't care less about the poor in Boston or black and brown people. There are not different from the countless businesses in Boston who have gentrified the area. These suburban edge lords were recently attempting to incite violence against the police at a block party in Jamaica Plain and they sell t-shirt depicting cop cars being blown up. The staff there are mostly white, middle class yuppies who have no nothing for the JP Latino community. The owner is rich, but is still asking average visitors to help pay for a 30k project to fix the ceiling of their new digs. They also have been harassing the employees of SEED in JP for not caring about the community and just pretending to be "woke". Well Lucy Parson might just be describing themselves and they need a reality check.

Selection of mostly academic books & non-fiction & of course of the rad variety. Would have been nice to have gotten something by Bookchin or Freire there but didn't find their writing there.

A great bookstore with tons of books you can't find anywhere else! They have a great selection of progressive and radical books and have them organized very well. I also enjoyed looking at their Zine section.

This is just another case of hypocrisy and a disgusting store. The owner is all over social media begging for money. In addition, SHE is saying she's disabled and some days is in a wheel chair or using a cane but other days is dancing around the streets of JP. She begs for money and has kids that aren't hers living with her. She lives in filth and is a prostitute. Check out her twitter if you don't believe me. Last time I checked, prostitution was illegal. In addition, they have a "cops rest in piss" in their doorway. For those of you who don't know, JP is a dangerous place. Just last night two people were shot there. Those cops that this business shames are the same ones that protect them and allow them to be anarchists. Do yourselves a favor, go to Barnes and Noble. The books are clean. The workers aren't disrespectful.

It was small and disorganized, though the selection of books and convenient parking right next door more than makes up for it.

Seems like a cool place, stopped by to donate a couple bags of things but they were closed, even though online it says they are open. Will remember to call before walking there again
