The Wild Duck is a liquor store located just steps away from downtown Boston. Though it may be a bit pricey, the store boasts a wide selection of drinks, including local Boston brews and a nice variety of wines and bourbons. Customers have praised the store's customer service, with the staff being described as friendly and helpful in assisting shoppers find what they're looking for. However, the store has also faced some criticism. Some customers have reported encountering unfriendly or even angry staff, who may not be as welcoming or accommodating as one might expect. Additionally, there have been concerns raised about the store's pricing practices, with reports of unexpected credit card fees and a general sense that prices are higher than at other establishments. Despite these mixed reviews, the Wild Duck remains a convenient option for those in the Tufts Medical Center neighborhood, particularly for those in need of alcohol for an extended stay. Overall, the store offers a decent selection and reasonable prices, though customers should be prepared for the possibility of a less-than-stellar customer service experience.
Be careful with the price. System is 50% expensive than what is shown on shelf label. While they were able to honor the price, but it seems like other reviewers also mentioned overcharging.

Ordered wine on the website but when I arrived at the store to pick it up, they did not have the vintage that I ordered. Their online inventory needs to be more accurate.

They sneak on a fee for using a credit card as payment without telling you. Another poster noted that it's not even legal to do so.
