“Theyve got everything you need including premium cigars packed from the manufacturers in plastic humidor travel bags that I just realized in the last month after a couple yrs., the best prices in town, & the best price Ive found anywhere on what was already my favorite cigar--Perdomo Champagne. The storefront is tight but the selection is impeccable, they own the whole bldg. & I'd say theyve got about 8x the storage space, & the whole staff is gr8. Id drive elsewhere if I thought another store were better, & if I move outta the neighborhood I'll still patronize this shop.”

I don't think we asked him his name - tall guy - greyish hair - remarkable attitude. Walking on his way to work one morning, he stopped to ask my husband and I if we needed help finding our way around the area. Being two lost tourists we gladly accepted his help and he walked us to the area we were looking for. His happy attitude and willingness to help leads me to believe he would be an exceptional salesperson. If I lived in Boston, I would walk blocks to visit this shop.”

“Bacco's is the best wine and cheese shop in Boston! I stopped in by chance on a Thursday evening when they have free wine and cheese tasting between 4:30pm - 6:30pm. It was the best experience! I tried three different wines, including an Oregon pinot gris and a French cab franc, plus some cheese and crackers. They were all delicious. Hugh, the General Manager, had a very impressive wine and cheese knowledge and gave extra details about the origin and making of the wines, and the tasting notes. We got talking for a good while, and as a visitor to Boston, he made me feel so welcome in the city and gave me recommendations for sightseeing. The store itself has a wonderful selection of wines at different price points, so there is something for everyone. The tastings rotate between different regions too including US wines, Italian, French and more. There's a cheese deli counter, and many great options for crackers, snacks, sweets and more. If you're in the area, don't miss this store! Hugh - it was such a pleasure to meet you. If you're ever in the UK, drop me a message!”

“I live nearby this place so they see me rather often. The ownership has changed hands but the new guys seem to have a handle on it. There have been no wild price hikes as far as I can tell. If they're not the best priced packy they're close. The store is always well stocked, quite large, and they'll order specialty items if you ask them, fancy whiskey or wine for example. I have nothing bad to say about the place as long as they have my whiskey in stock, and I make em work for it.”

These folks really, really know their wines, and they are very passionate. They will work with you to find you exactly what you are looking for. From something nice for the every day to something majestic for a Saturday night or special occasion. And their scotch selection is also fantastic. Joe, the manager of the scotch business there, is equally knowledgeable and passionate. This is a wonderful hidden gem in plain sight. It looks like a cheap packie, but man, what a shop.”

“This place has done me right for 4 plus years, but tonight Danny went above and beyond. I bought some Pinot noir not realizing it was a cork screw. So I’m at home trying my best, but I’m just a girl right, so naturally I was struggling. Tried whacking it with a hammer, no luck, so I went back to the store. Danny helped me immediately and legit opened the wine for me. He deserves the raise of the century. Good customer service to a complete idiot, he didn’t even make me feel silly about this, just helped!!!!!!”
