“For decades, my wife and I have used Green Taxi to take us to Logan Airport and have had a fabulous experience with them. They are always prompt and readily respond to changes in our arrival times due to cancellations or delays. The drivers are thoughtful, considerate, and reassuring.Although all deserve high praise, Jen is singular because she will wait hours to make sure we have our ride home.Fabulous, stress free service;.”

“What happens when you share a secret? It's no longer a secret.....though, West of Chestnut sits right on Hancock street, right on top of all these amazing bars and restaurants, so I guess we're okay. It's pretty much in your face. I've been living here for about nine months - here's the scoop: Staff: Annie and Devon! These girls make my day (whenever I get to escape my apt - oh, I work from home - more on the apt in a bit). They remember life moments (and that time you went on a shopping spree) and won't judge you for your weirdo husband (I mean, he's out there...) Security on the premise: Steve-O our security guy - I once saw him chase away a vagabond drunk. Oh wait, I think that was my husband... Building: Place is always clean and smells nice (except for the garbage chute, but, that's what it signed up for). There's a pretty large social room where you can host par-tays. Speaking of, every month Annie and Devon have a full event schedule planned out. Whether it's drinks, food, or fun games, there is always something planned....now, as a planner, I know that should not be taken lightly. If you're watching your waistline - eh, that's a problem. At the end of the day, West of Chestnut is getting people to know each other as neighbors! But I work from home and just watch everyone having fun from my window over my laptop #workfromhomeproblems Apartment: Did I mention I work from home? Well I do, so that means I never leave the place! But still, TONS of natural lighting and pretty quiet where our apartment sits. Even when they're partying downstairs, I can't tell I'm missing out! Okay, but seriously, open floor concept, modern and clean so whatever is your personal home décor style, it can work; never had a problem with the thermostat and if you ever do have something go wrong (light bulbs out, sink is clogged) - you have a maintenance team who jumps on it ASAP and gets it all taken care of. If you're looking for a roof over your head -there are many out there. If you're looking for one to call a home, have people you can call friends and literally be able to drag yourself from the bar and walk a few feet home - this is the right place to call "Home."”

“I bought a gorgeous pearl necklace for my daughter’s birthday. They didn’t have exactly what I wanted on the shelf, but working with them, they made a perfect piece.”

“I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Baystate Express if you’re looking for an experienced, reliable company to ship your valuable antiques. I hired them to ship a dining table for NYC to Beverly Hills, CA and the service was top notch. Good communication, and my table arrived in excellent condition. It was very well wrapped and the crew did a great job unloading and setting it up. Thanks Again”

“Mike is simply the best. After arriving back from abroad to the Park and Ride lot in Rockland, MA, I found that my car battery had died due to an overhead light being left on. My AAA had also just expired a month prior. I spent 30 minutes calling different companies that were either closed or were not able to accommodate my request for a boost. I called Mike’s Towing and he immediately said that he would be there in 15 minutes. He arrived in 10 minutes. He boosted my car and waited a couple minutes to make sure all was ok. Unfortunately, my card had been stolen while abroad and I did not have access to cash. He literally stated, “I trust you”, and allowed me pay him once I arrived home on Cape Cod via mail. This kind of service is nowadays unheard of and I’ve shared this story with family and friends who are equally impressed. I would recommend calling Mike before any other establishment in the area for needs that were similar to mine. These types of businesses need to be supported.”

“I took my car to Kery's for a starting issue. They had my car for three days and didn't do a thing. I was charged $450 for absolutely nothing. My car still has the same issue. Needless to say I will never return to this establishment again.”

“I first signed up for a Zipcar membership in Madison, WI, and generally had very positive experiences there. When I moved to Boston and had a look at all these reviews I was kind of dreading the occasions when I would really *need* to rent one. I just figured, well, in a major city things are bound to be more chaotic. But I've rented 3x now with them and I was very happy with all of my experiences. I did have to contact customer service for each rental to deal with some issues (e.g., locked gate for returning the car, previous renter very late), but I got through very quickly to someone, and each of the people I spoke with was super helpful and very friendly. *However*. . . it's important to go into this with sensible expectations and to be prepared to change things up if needed. For my most recent rental, the person who had the car before me was stuck in traffic and eventually we had to switch to another car--not the company's fault, that just happens. For my trouble, I was offered a significant discount, which I appreciated, mostly because it allowed me to take care of a lot more errands by having the car for longer. In terms of renting strategically, you can do the following: (1) try to rent a vehicle that's in a less busy neighborhood, less usage on the car; (2) check out the vehicle in person beforehand to see if it's pretty beat up and more likely to present problems--also to figure out where the car is parked, which is not always easy to figure out; (3) try to choose a vehicle that does not have a lot of rental time before or after to avoid being delayed and to allow you to extend time if needed. To be honest, if I had someplace important to be (wedding, business meeting), I would either not rent a Zipcar, or have a back-up plan. Customer service: it's quite possible you may end up speaking with someone who is not in the U.S., not shocking that they're outsourcing. But the people I spoke with had perfectly good English, and I found them very pleasant. You would think from reading this whole string of reviews that literally everyone who rents a Zipcar has some kind of nightmarish experience. I'm going to guess that anyone who has a terrible experience is much more likely to post here?”
