Nickerson State Park is a beautiful and peaceful place for camping and family fun on Cape Cod. The park features multiple clean and clear kettle ponds with sandy beaches, ideal for swimming, paddling, and sailing. The water temperatures are moderate and great for kids. The scent of pine trees is incredibly soothing. The park offers spacious campsites, some larger, clearer, or more level than others. It is a cheap way to vacation, especially for Massachusetts residents. The area is fabulous for hiking and bicycling on well-maintained trails, and bringing bikes is a must. Despite full occupancy in the summer, the atmosphere remains quiet and never feels crowded, though reservations fill fast. Rangers provide constant and available supervision, ensuring a secure and great experience.
