CVS in Brookline offers a generally positive shopping and pharmacy experience, though there are some concerns. Customers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, highlighting employees like Janet, who greets everyone with a smile and provides excellent service. The staff often go above and beyond, taking care to fill prescriptions on time and engaging in good conversations despite being short-staffed. One customer praised a pharmacist for their care and positive attitude during a busy time. However, there are frustrations related to corporate decisions. The closing of a nearby store and the lack of enough staff at the Harvard Street location have led to longer wait times and difficulties in getting prescriptions. Customers have expressed disappointment with the new pharmacy shutdown hours, which cause long lines and delays, sometimes even risking customers’ health as they wait in line for elderly individuals. Some also noted that staff knowledge has declined, with questions about medications like calcium citrate going unanswered. On the retail side, the store is well-stocked with groceries, ice cream, bread, and cereal, and is kept clean and organized. Employees are respectful and courteous, creating a welcoming environment for shoppers. Overall, while the store excels in customer service and product availability, the pharmacy’s efficiency and staffing issues remain a concern for many customers.
The coolers have been broken for months, so no milk, diary or other cold drinks.

This location has the locked cases. Super inconvenient and not a great for an understaffed store that does not have employees available to open the cases. I had to ring the call button 3 times and waited 10 mins
