A total mess. The building is very old. The rusty windows cannot be closed properly. There is construction going on in front of the building at 7am every single day. In addition, it has been almost 6 MONTHS since we moved out and WE STILL HAVEN'T GOT OUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. The leasing office is always unreachable or "having problems with their system" so they never addressed or showed proof that they have sent out the check for our security deposit. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, IT IS A SCAM.

Totally unreliable leasing office. Booked an appointment from their website and called their number 2 hrs before the appointment to confirm. When I reached, the person at reception told me that they were not taking any appointments and that their customer support didn't know any of it so maybe they ended up booking an appointment.I couldn't stop laughing at how perfectly normal it was for them

Poor Management. They always try to find any possible way to charge you unreasonably. Although it’s a beautiful place to live in, the rent price is definitely ripped off. It’s way too expensive for what you get. I think they should lower the rent price reasonably.

New tenantI'm giving it a 5, great location, stunning view of Charles River and Boston skylines. The fact that it's central to everything makes life super easy.Decent apartment with stairs on the inside, I like the added space, the window railings can use a bit of a touch up, but this is minor, and can be fixed by a simple coat.I really like the fact that I am able to wake up to the views every single day.The staffs are very helpfulIt might not be a modern apartment, but it's been retouched on the inside and feels very homely.Neighbors are polite & generally easy going. I love the tranquil that comes with the apartment and ofcourse its centralization.Cons:You have to pay a monthly fee for parking, when I rented here I wasn't sure I wanted a car, now that I'm planning to get one, this my only pain.

CKo is the most wonderful of hosts with a wonderful place. She has the most stocked of kitchens (she even has ketchup!) and the most ergonomic of work stations (there is even something cool you can stand on!!). Her walls are filled with pictures and love, and she has creams of all kinds you could ever want. And her presence of grace and care fills the entire space ❤️ 12/10 would recommend!

Corporate Greed and unfair practices is the lasting impression we have of this apartment community. From the on-site manager to the Regional Manager at their Corporate Office, they ignored reasonable points of contention that were brought up, and refused to acknowledge their OWN mistakes. I will not recommend these apartments as they place profits over student clients. My son and 3 friends moved into these apartments in January 2021, as their nearby college was not fully opened up for housing. I co-signed as all were just starting out and did not have a qualifying income on their own. Because the occupancy at 100 Memorial was low due to Covid-19, they were given a move-in special offer with over a $1,100 discount in total. They all agreed to the terms, which included their intended move-out date. They provided a security deposit to lock in the offer and terms. They then received an email confirmation from the on-site management. After we made calls to order rental furniture, utilities, and renter's insurance, 100 Memorial Apartments then rescinded the move-in offer taking the discount away. The explanation was that the length of lease that was agreed upon did not qualify for the move-in special. The four room-mates were too far along in the process and had already stopped looking for other apartments, and therefore felt they had to accept this or lose their deposit. Also, as all four room-mates were coming from four different states, they had no time to regroup and look at other alternatives. Airfares and travel arrangements had already been booked and paid for.As the lease was very short (slightly more than 90 days), the room-mates believed that at the time of move-in that the on-site management was already aware of their move-out intentions, on the last day of the lease. The four room-mates did submit their notice to vacate, however it was not the full 30 days prior to the intended move-out. I contacted the on-site manager and explained the misunderstanding by the four room-mates and he refused to consider working with us, not even willing to split the difference of days (11 days). I explained to him that I thought it was unreasonable of him to hold the four room-mates accountable in light of the fact that we never once pushed back hard on their "bait and switch" move-in special that they rescinded once they received the deposit. The on-site manager said that they sent notices to all four-room-mates to remind them of the obligation to submit the Notice to Vacate at least 30 days prior to actual move-out. I then asked him to explain why I had not received the same reminder notices, as I was the co-signer and financially responsible party. He had no reply to my question. I most certainly would have ensured the notice was submitted the full 30-days out. The four-roommates were wrapping up their college studies and working on finals during the last few weeks. Had I been sent the same reminder notice regarding the Notice to Vacate, it would have been sent in that very day. As a co-signer, the apartment community failed again and overlooked my pointing it out to them.I am a believer in working out a resolution with the parties involved, however in this case I realized I would need to go to the DOLBEN corporate office. I emailed the Regional Manager and explained the situation to him, and made it clear I was looking for a reasonable and fair review of the matter. The response received was cold and typical corporate. He also acknowledged that his staff reached out multiple time to the room-mates. He didn't acknowledge my question in my email to him about why "his staff" didn't include me in their communication to the room-mates. He didn't acknowledged that his staff should have included me on such important reminders, as I was the CO-SIGNER of the lease. The one whose financial data was used in order for the four room-mates to qualify in the first place. The Regional Manager also did not acknowledge the "bait and switch" that HIS STAFF pulled off, locking the room-mates into th

I've lived here for nearly two years and my time here has been basically fantastic. If I weren't leaving the state, I'd almost certainly have renewed my lease. This building admittedly doesn't put its best foot forward. If you're just looking outside or in the apartment hallways, it looks a little bit run down and dark. But don't let this fool you, the rooms are bright and big! My roommate and I got a great deal on a 2 bedroom with a ton of natural light and a nice balcony. The positives: we had a ton of space, staff was really friendly, it was extremely close to almost everything you could ask for (and if it wasn't, it was a block from the train, so you could find ways around that), the health club (pre-COVID) was really nice, and there's a lot going on.The negatives: the kitchen is small with fairly outdated appliances. This is done to keep the rent lower, but my oven was faulty a lot of the time and that could get grating. There's also a lot of maintenance, which can get inconvenient at times.I really have loved living here and aside from those negatives, it's been great to the point where I compare every apartment building I look at to this one and most are pretty unfavorable. There's a lot of great community, convenience, and space for a low rate in one of the priciest housing areas in the country. It's a great deal

Great views, pretty well sound-resistant walls, cheap for the location.

I've had an awesome experience living at 100 MD. The convenience (i.e., proximity to MIT) is simply fantastic, and the management and staff are friendly and hard-working. The building offers parking (though at a monthly cost) as well as small gym and a skyroom.

The staff doesn’t make you feel at home. The apartment corridors are foul smelling. The only reason anyone signs a lease here is the balcony, but it's not worth considering that the balcony will be unusable for most months. Save your money!

I have lived in 100 Memorial Drive Apt since this year, and I am writing this review for the people whom are considering living here. PLEASE avoid living in this apartment and PLEASE do not make the same mistake that I have made.PROSOf course, there are pros. I chose to live here because of its fantastic view over the Charles River, but this is the only positive thing. The view of 100 memorial drive apartment is the best in Cambridge. You can appreciate the river, sky, and buildings always.CONS1. Constructions: there are a lot of construction near this apartment. There are supposed to be 6 roads to access the front of my apartment, but now only a one-way road is available (the back of the apartment is accessible through memorial drive, but forget about calling an Uber at this location). First, you have to detour to walk to subway stations. This apartment is very close to Kendall/MIT station (red line), you may walk to the subway station in 2 minutes without those constructions. However, due to the construction, you have no choice but to walk almost 10 minutes to get to the station. Moreover, there are dangerous trucks and instrument for the construction, so you have to be careful while walking near the apartment. Second, Uber drivers often cancel the ride, and many cannot find the entrance because of the construction (the most they can do is stay on Ames street; enjoy walking 5 minutes in heavy snow every time you call an Uber). This is not the driver's fault, but the construction. You have to call Uber drivers every time to make an adjustment. Lastly, if you have a car, you should also detour to arrive at your parking lot.2. Heating: maintenance already checked heater in November in my place. The maintenance contractors said it is ok. However, both November and December, even at temperatures at 46 degrees Fahrenheit (8 degrees Celsius) and 19 degrees Fahrenheit (-7C degrees Celsius), the heater was not working. I asked maintenance to fix it. However, the guy blamed me for two reasons. First, this apartment has central heating that will be turned when the outside degree is less 50F. Second, he checked my temperature (of course, the heater was broken, so the temperature was not correct), and said the temperature is normal. BUT I felt extremely cold, and asked him to check again. He was annoyed and called the heating company. I had to wait during the weekend, and bear with only small heater. When they finally checked my heater, they found that the heater was not turned on (the switch was inside the heater, where residents do not have access to). They never apologized.3. High price of rent: the rental price is ridiculous, compared to other apartments near Kendall Square such as Third Square or Watermark East/West, 100 memorial drive is cheaper (maybe $300). However, when we compare the facility and maintenance, other apartments are luxury apartments, and 100 memorial drive apt is too old and the price of rent should be lower by at least $800 per house.4. Old facilities: this apartment was built in 1970s. the kitchen is old and small. Even though there are a dishwasher and an oven, you cannot use them. Also, they often fix the water systems, so you cannot use the water once in every month (they do tell you in advance though). Elevator is old, and they maintain one of them frequently, disallowing the advantage of using two elevators. There are 400 units, using one elevator (except for elevator located in back door for heavy furniture or garbage) is very inconvenient. The windows are old as well, you can see rust on the sides.5. The scent of smoking: there are balcony and roof top in the apartment. I not sure where people are smoking. However, obviously, I could smell distinct scents of burning cigarettes and marihuana in the hallway. Now I am regretting living here, but I should live until my contract. I should have searched for as many reviews as possible on the internet or asked people living here. This is why I am writing this comment. Please think twice before you choose to live here.

Update July. Great! They are not only offering you early morning noise, but also night noise (7:50pm at this moment now and there is huge construction noise outside the building) as perks.-----2017 new tenant pay attention!! When you visit the apartment, you will see a huge construction site right next to the apartment (kendall T station direction instead of side facing the river). Every 7am there will be loud (seriously, just ask anyone who lives in this building where their apartment facing that direction, i think most of the apartments rooms are) construction noise, make sure you can take this and sleep well enough. Even foam earbuds won't works that well I have to say. The window can't reduce any noise unlike most modern apt window do, also, they can't keep you freezing in the winter either anyway. The good thing about this apartment is the staff are friendly, and you get the 24hour package handling. The major point of living here is to save you commute time if you work around Kendall Square. That's why I added one star. If they can do something about the window (which seems unlikely, because people has complaining for years, they seems don't care, might because there are so many people want to live here which drives the demand so high so they seems don't care about these "details" ... ), making it double window so can reduce noise and keep you warm at winter, then I would say it worth 3.8 star. It's expensive I have to say, but I am not complaining that, the location is just perfect. But paying such expensive with such living environment, I'd recommend think twice and ask someone who currently living here.

Management tried to convince me that an old apartment in the basement, with old and rusty kitchen was "vintage and people like vintage stuff". Snake oil salesman. Position is great but there is better housing around.
