Alexander W. Kemp Playground is a cool and great park in a fantastic location near Harvard Square. It is an amazing playground for kids, from toddlers to around seven years old. It features a big sandpit, swings, multiple slides, climbing structures, and unique activities like a wooden ship and water play in summer. There is plenty of shade, space for strollers, and benches. A port-a-potty and water fountain are available. Note that the hill is steep, the whole park is sand, and there is limited paid street parking with no public restrooms.
Cool park, though the hill is kinda steep and kids eat it falling down all the time...but I guess that happens. Just wish there were more places to sit as an adult.

It looks good but is closed temporarily from October 18 November 8

Cool park but limited paid parking. Also no public restrooms. My 3 year old had a great time, bring a change of clothes or towel since the whole park is sand and there is water in the summer season.
