Tyrone was an absolute star. I had been given a terrible car at the airport and needed to exchange it. Despite low availability he did his absolute best to help me. He not only exchanged the car, he also added humor to put a smile back on my face.

Original booking time 12pm. Out the door time was 2:30pm. It's unacceptable!The premium car that I booked turned out to be not so premium. Bad experience overall.

I booked a 12 passenger van from the Cambridge location in Massachusetts two months prior to my youth trip. I called a week before my trip to confirm and they told my they overbooked and we’re going to call me to cancel. The manger was very rude and unapologetic. I called a few days later to double check again if I would have my rental. The person on the phone was also rude and unhelpful as to if they would have a van for me. I arrived to get the rental and he tells me that there are some scrapes. There were dents all around the van, it was filthy inside and outside, exposed rear right side wires, most of the carpet was damp or wet and the left break and turn signal didn’t work which we fixed. Just a gross disgusting experience go somewhere else.

Rented a car in the city of Boston for 7 days to drive the coast of Maine and was able to drop off at airport. Car was clean and practically new. The price was so very reasonable. Easy pick up and drop off.

Recently rented a minivan from here for an out-of-state move. Took maybe 10/15 minutes past the scheduled pickup time to get the keys. Vehicle was relatively new, in good condition, and had a full tank of gas.

Gave us a vehicle with completely worn out rear tires. Had a flat tire 50 miles out on a week long trip. Could have been deadly! Then wasted half a day waiting for Budget road service that never arrived and driving to another location to exchange vehicle. Icing on the cake, charged for a full tank of gas for the original vehicle for 100 miles usage!

They canceled the reservation after being 8 minutes late (literally). The store was then marked as sold out, and I was left without a car. The national customer service line was no help. They are supposed to hold the car for 24 hours to honor reservations. Renters beware. Avoid this location.

Cars are filthy and smell disgusting. They do not get cleaned in between different users. Extremely unprofessional and rude staff, they open and close the facility as they wish and won’t process car returns on time. I was overcharged by almost 300 dollars which they are refusing to refund. Take your money elsewhere such as Enterprise car rental - they’ve got professional staff and service and better prices.

What can I say? I travel for business and pleasure. I needed a mid size SUV got a cx5 rental a week prior.. come pick up day, they didn't have a cx5 ready big woop got a "free" upgrade to a Kia Sedona fine. Now here comes the fun part. Come home to find out there's a slow leak on the front right tire, windshield wipers are shot and the car is not fully cleaned. ?♂️ Okay let's call the actual location phone number to go through 15 steps of ai software phone greeting to be put on hold and no one answers for two days (Saturday and Monday).Now dropping off the vehicle is a painless experience as though YOU park the car at the garage hopefully find an open spot and then check out .The elder gentleman that checked me out and was quite understanding, comped me for a day for the trouble .I mean if you're in a pinch in Cambridge and can't find a rental? Go for it, be weary of what you get though with your "free" Upgrade

The first car that we were given was dented in several places. Not little dings either a long dent down one whole side for example. The pink sheet showed no recorded damage. We had to walk back to the counter and refuse the car. Both cars were disgustingly filthy. There was human spit dried to the outside of the first on both sides and the windows on the second were so bad that I had to stop and buy glass cleaner and paper towels just to see. Is this what is expected from Budget customers? Budget has a great backstory and used to have a great reputation. I'm very disappointed.

Nice person at front desk but the rest of the experience from car cleanliness to ease of pick up and drop off was totally lacking. The car was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned. There was no one to check me out or back in and no clear instructions about how to convey that the gas tank was only partially filled.

It works fine 80% of the time, but service here seems to have been getting worse and worse in recent years. I reserved a sedan, but they "upgraded" me to a minivan since they ran out of economy cars, which is not really an upgrade since it is less fuel-efficient and can be awkward to drive in tight city streets. Seems to defeat the point of the reservation if they cannot honor it. And then I find that the vehicle only has 1/4 tank of gas left, which they had neglected to inform me while checking out!

Definitely the worst Budget location of all time. Always a super long line and some of the staff are very rude. They WILL try to scam you for gas, tolls, late returns, etc approx every other time, but the customer service line will help if you take photos. Keep coming back because it’s the only one nearby, but seriously take a photo of starting and ending gas/mileage with time stamps because you will need to fight random extra charges!

Understaffed - ridiculous wait times both when I picked up and dropped off the car (I literally had to wait for 1 hour for a representative when I returned the vehicle. Horrible customer service.
