Flew my bike to Boston in September for a multi-day ride, but on the shakeout ride it was making a squeaking noise. Took it to Cambridge Bicycle ~30 min before closing. Josh spent a good amount of time with it to look into and rule out potential causes. He narrowed down on the likely cause being a small failure of a seal on the rear hub; he added some oil and assured me that although it might make noise, it was plenty safe to ride. I was charged nothing for the time spent on the diagnosis.
I was pleased to find that it made no sound the next day, and it didn’t chirp again for the remainder of the trip! We ended up having a great adventure, and that’s thanks at least in part to the Josh's efforts. Many thanks for the time and attention!

Walked in with a broken shifter cable and walked out 5 minutes later with a new cable installed, bike lubed up, and riding better than it has in a long time.

Bought some replacement cleats, that were completely fine, I just didn't like the feeling when unclipping, they exchanged it kindly

Consistently poor and over priced service. I would not trust this bike shop with a high end bike (as I have mistakenly done in the past). Wouldn't trust them with my beater either. Two stars because the owner is extremely nice.

Cambridge Bicycle performed a tune up for my ebike. I learned that I have not been adjusting my brakes properly, and only for that this was really worth it. But as they reviewed the bike entirely they also noticed that stem bolts were loose and tightened them up, which I didn't think about checking.
I really appreciate the work they have done, and I feel more secure on the bike now!

Came in for a quick fix and the guy working at 12pm on Thursdays was very rude and seemed like he didn’t want to help or explain what was wrong. Bad experience with a rude staff member

I had a great experience here. I don't know anything about bikes and felt overwhelmed before coming in. But the sales person that helped me, Adeline, was super sweet and attentive. Other local bike shops I went to did not offer the same experience. I barely know how to ride a bike, and she made sure I felt confident before testing the bikes. She literally explained everything I needed, answered every question I had, and did it all with a smile. I took so long to make a decision (I was probably in there for over an hour), and I didn't feel rushed, and left there feeling like I made the best choice ever. She looked genuinely as excited as I was. When I checked with some bike-nerd friends of mine, they said it was a great bike. I totally recommend.

I got a flat while commuting home and swung in midcommute, they had me back out the door on a new tire in about 5 minutes.
Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere with enough employees to help customers and keep up with rapid walk in repairs.
