I can't believe how dirty this location is. the men's room has not been cleaned in ages. going back to Charlestown and Kendall square. they need to consider hiring a cleaning service. I'm not picky but this place is gross. you can't sit on the bathroom benches because its full of dirt.

The studio is small, but I do like it in comparison with other small(er) Core Power studios as the studios overlook Harvard Square (= natural light coming in from the windows). The studio seemed pretty clean, no complaints about that, and of course Harvard Square is a really fun area so lots to do before and after class.

I only took one class but I’m not in a rush to return. As a beginner, it was very difficult to follow the motions, see the instructor, and hear the instructor despite amplification equipment. The class opened by talking about fear and crow’s pose. There seemed to be a discrepancy with the thermostat setting at ~80 but reading 100. It was very hot.

Made my reservation and paid. Showed up early. Teacher showed up not at all. Class canceled. Front desk employee was apologetic but I kinda expected more, like an email with a pass to another class, or at least something to recognize the wasted travel time, which wasn't insignificant in my case. As an aside they have a tiny men's locker room where the urinal is awkwardly out in the open and the hand dryer is literally down the hall from the sink.

As a recent transplant from Canada where we have tons of infrared yoga, I've been trying to find infrared yoga in the Cambridge area. I decided to try out this Core location after trying out a few hot yoga studios and I was surprised and delighed to find that the studio does not have forced air or the old school Bikram heaters but infrared panels. I was so so stoked. I feel much better doing yoga with infrared and frankly find forced air hot yoga kind gross as ducts often are not maintained well and they harbor dust and mold especially in hot yoga studios. The class was great and the studio was mold free (not the case with some other studios I have visited(. I am giving it 4 stars only because they don't have many Fusion classes (just once a week) but all in all a great studio.

Be careful with the 2 week "free" trial! It will auto-enroll you in a $175/month membership without emailing receipts of the charges.

What an incredible place to practice yoga! I've never been to a CPY before this studio opened, but it blew my mind! The warmth that's not 100+ degrees (C1 & C2) feels great on your joints and body, especially on a cold winter night in Boston. The instructors were all very hands on with assists and mini massages.. best part of the experience imo. I've taken Robbie's class and he was awesome. Scarlet was super cool too. Still going to try other instructors, but I'm sure they're all great! I travel a lot so the black rag membership will enable me to use studios all over the country! A major plus. Can't wait to try all the different classes and hopefully work my way up to C3 and Hot Ypga Fusion one day, Ps. Not a whole lot of room for changing etc. only downside imo.

This studio is an awesome place to practice yoga. If you've been to CorePower before, you know the standard class structure - it's no different here. The C2 class is my go-to, it moves quickly but with plenty of guidance and assists from the awesome instructors (I'm a huge fan of Robbie, Erin and Charles!). Yoga sculpt is intense but worth it if you're looking for a class to kick your a** and still be totally energizing by the time you're done. If you are familiar with the names of most basic poses, check out a Hot Power Fusion class - it always moves in the same sequence, which really helps me focus in on the poses without thinking too much about what's coming next. The studio itself is brand new, so it's obviously super clean and modern. The facilities are great, the staff is friendly, and the location is very convenient. My only gripe is that the two classrooms are very close together, so it's pretty easy to hear the instructor yelling and people dropping weights in the other studio while you're in the middle of concentrating on a pose. Other than a lack of soundproofing, though, this is a really great studio and well worth the membership fee (especially if you plan on coming at least twice a week).

Compared to other CPYstudios this is not a fav. I think maybe because it's new and still working out the quirks. Really need to work on fixing heat issues. It's unreliable and most often my classes are on the cool side and I go to CPY specifically for their warm studios to help me get my sweat on and make my muscles stretch. I also think the layout isn't great, it's a total cluster f@ck when anyone is coming and going between classes with where the locker room is. Speaking of locker room, maybe a better curtain that actually provides privacy? Not that too many folks can see, but the current curtain is kinda lame. But back to the layout; I'm not sure what can be done for it really, but I hate that after a nice yoga sesh I have to climb all over people, bump into everyone, bang elbows, step over people - all to just grab my stuff and maybe change my top. Also is anyone is curious- only one toilet and one shower. Other design things that could use work would be the lighting, little harsh, kinda like overhead fluorescent lights. Studio 2 having slanted mirrors is killing me. Sounds weird, I know, but it screws with my alignment! I line up my mat straight in front of the mirror, but because they were installed at a slight angle when I look in the mirror I'm angled. It was just an odd thing to do and it's really annoying. Also, dust all over the floors, why? I was slipping and sliding during sculpt and my mat got covered in it. Floors are also super bouncy/squeaky, so if anyone starts walking around during savasana (which you shouldn't, but they do) then you really feel and hear it. Lastly I don't think they should of started full charge when the studio wasn't totally up and running. They opened their doors around Christmas and started the full membership cost immediately, yet as I've stated the studios don't have proper working heat and they only offered a "holiday" schedule, which I couldn't totally make use of. So I just don't like paying full price when I'm not being offered full service. So yeah, it's new, it needs some work. I don't think it'll ever be a favorite CPY, the locker areas won't ever really change, but its a good yoga studio option and I've liked a bunch of instructors so far.

This studio is brand new, the indoor deco is kind different and more modern than other CorePower studios. So I def loved how clean and cute this studio makes me feel. I'm always a fan of CPY and I think yoga sculpt is a great form of workout, so compare to other gyms/studios I would give it a 4 star, but compare to other CPY studios, I'd give it a 3 based on the way the instructors teach and how welcoming the staff make the student feel.
