Danehy Park is a large and versatile outdoor space that offers something for everyone. It is situated on top of an old landfill and features multiple sports fields, including soccer and baseball fields, making it popular for sports and outdoor activities. The park has two playgrounds, including the well-loved Pascual playground, which is perfect for children. Visitors often come here for activities like soccer classes, running, walking, and relaxing on benches. The park has separate bike and walking paths, plenty of parking, and several entrances with different parking options. It is also a great spot for dog owners, with a well-designed dog park that includes separate sections for small and large dogs, as well as a “time-out” area. Although there is no water supply on-site for dogs, bowls and waste bags are provided. During summer, restrooms are available on one side of the park, while porta potties are located on the other side. Overall, Danehy Park is a clean, beautiful, and family-friendly space with a variety of athletic facilities, play areas, and open spaces, making it an excellent place for outdoor fun and recreation.
Great park which we initially discovered as a sledding spot but it quickly became an all-around staple with variety of athletic spaces and a few playgrounds at different corners of the park.
