The manager at the one on Cambridge st is a j*** and is a racist. He denied me service because of my race.

Worst experience ever trapelo road woman kiso was rude from the get-go didn't want to cash the check for me keeping me waiting around to tell me that she wasn't going to cash it and if she didn't hear back from the guy that wrote it and continually rudely saying have a good day sir have a good day sir have a good day sir she should be fired she went out of the way to make trouble trying to entice the situation with her arrogance and stupid ugly grin

The account is easy to manage and opening the account is very quick. There’s just one problem.

My family has used ECSB for over 20 years. The staff are always to the point, but friendly. Very transparent way of doing business and the bank has a nice atmosphere.

I've been a customer of ECSB for over 35 years and I love them! I've also had accounts at some of the "big banks" in order to take care of my business needs, international transfers, and so on. ECSB is exactly what a community bank should be: they hold their own mortgages instead of selling them off to holding companies; they provide good online banking and bill paying, their charges are low; they provide loans to local small businesses; and they treat me like a valued customer. Those people who have posted negative reviews - like that their online banking isn't as good as the big banks - is because they're NOT one of the big banks! I don't want to give my money to some giant international bank, I want a local S&L that cares about their small local customers, and that's what ECSB is. One incident that happened a few years ago: I wrote a check to the IRS to pay my taxes, but accidentally put a date a year in the future! When the check hit the ECSB, they called me and offered to let me come down and fix the date rather than bounce the check! Can you imagine one of the big banks doing that???!!!???
