While shopping at the goodwill in central sq, I recently encountered a pricing issue at your Central Square location. As outlined in your store, items at Goodwill are set-priced unless individually marked. However, while purchasing a fleece pullover that was not individually priced, the cashier attempted to upcharge the item beyond the established price category.
Under Massachusetts Consumer Protection Law (Chapter 93A), businesses are prohibited from engaging in unfair or deceptive pricing practices, including:
• Charging a higher price than what is clearly advertised or posted.
• Failing to adhere to their own set pricing policies.
• Implementing misleading or inconsistent pricing at the point of sale.
As a consumer, I expect that Goodwill upholds its own pricing policies and complies with state laws regarding fair pricing practices. I request that your management address this issue and ensure that staff adheres to the store’s set pricing system moving forward. I would also appreciate confirmation on your policy enforcement to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The store has a good selection, especially for smaller sizes. However, the inability to try on clothes properly is a downside, you can only try them on over your own clothes, which isn’t ideal. Most items are hung up with hangers, unlike other Goodwill locations. Unfortunately, the cashier was not pleasant.

There were some good things though I did not buy anything. Previously someone donated items outside and I scored some good items. I think the Goodwill is too pricey for some.

full of junk, ripped/torn and dirty clothes, the floor is dirty with tons of dust, and it is hardly organized. When I went to check out the person at the register was so rude I just left without buying anything…don’t waste your time or money.

I criticized the chaotic layout along with a friend to the manager and they called the police on me. The officers were nice but they said it's typical of this store. I reported them to corporate. It smells like death and urine in there.

PROS:
-Low prices
-New inventory comes in nearly daily
-Close to the T stop
CONS:
-The entire store has a foul smell
-There are no fitting rooms
-No returns or refunds allowed
-It often is very crowded

This store smells literally like poop. Employees aren't nice. There is not much variety.

Everyone that works in this location is rude and disrespectful. Some how even after renovation the store still has a nasty and foul odor much like their attitudes. Don’t waste your time or energy.

Cashier lady was so disrespectful and rude. She acted very judgmental while ringing up purchases and treated us like we were an inconvenience. Terrible experience.

NO OPEN DRESSING ROOMS! They’ve been closed since Covid. Lots of clothes.

Will be closed on mid July, not sure when will reopening. Got 1 jeans and 1 pants for $7! (both on 50%off sale) Definitely have some gems but need some time to dig into it.
