This gym has become so overly packed that there is literally no room to move. They keep adding new members but cannot provide an adequate service for the members they already have. I haven’t been able to get into certain classes for weeks on end even though I’m ready on the very second to book the class when they open up. This is inadequate

Wonderful gym and facilities, but absolutely disgraceful and rude management and approach to communication with members. Previous policy did not preclude members to attend group classes if they’re a minute or so late, but out of nowhere and without proper communication to ALL of their customers, they decide to make a hard “no-late attendance” policy. So if your class starts at 5pm and you are there at 5pm and 10 seconds, you are not allowed to attend. The way they enforce that is by having one of the assistant managers stand IN FRONT of the studio entrance, like a black Gandalf gatekeeper that tells you “You shall NOT pass”. When I explained I had not received any communication from them about the updated policy, the gatekeeper did not show any form of understanding or mercy and continued to guard as instructed. I was 1 minute late…..Would give 0 stars to business management of this club if i could. Absolutely ridiculous. They also overbook group classes so the room is more crowded than what a normal capacity would suggest, so you end up hitting your neighbors or breathing in their feet and sweat while exercising.

Gym would be great, but classes are always full. Might have to cancel if they don’t add more during peak times.

Meh...All of the classes I have wanted to take book up days in advance and are always packed to the brim...Overall, very crowded and chaotic gym. Also, the classes are a mixed bag. Some are very easy and not that engaging, and others are better, but I haven't been super enthralled with any of them, to be honest. Also, it's pricey. And there's now a "no show fee" everytime you don't cancel a class... The only thing I like is working out among all women. But I haven't been super impressed either.

Okay I love the gym it’s just aggressively packed like hard to find an open area or machine or get into classes and memberships are pouring in everyday so be aware it’s busy all day everyday

They won't let you cancel your membership online. Plus you're charged for an additional cycle after requesting cancelation. Plus they may charge you $100 for canceling. Just do a stop payment on your credit card. This is predatory behavior

Really enjoy healthworks, many more options post renovation regarding strength training. The times I go never feel too crowded and if I want to do an occasional pilates or yoga class, the 2 day booking rule is great b/c the classes don't fill up far ahead of time. Had to adapt to renovation timeline, but I feel that it was worth it from what is available to me now. A couple of dollars more per month, but that is what I budget for. Thankful I am lucky to have a safe space to exercise that is also up to date with modern equipment.

I was a true loyalist — until they underwent an extensive renovation and simultaneously proceeded to raise personal training rates. It was shameful to have to spend the same monthly rate while having access to 10% of the space and a portion of the equipment, no live classes, being entirely unable to use the locker room and other amenities, and having zero floor space to do my usual routine. All of this, then also having to breathe paint fumes and sawdust while doing my workout (with NO ventilation). The front desk staff appears “nice,” but there are insurmountable issues with management—and when I asserted my right to a more “pleasant” experience, I was treated as entitled and punished for speaking up. This whole institution stands for something I believe in, which is women’s empowerment and right to grow strong in a non-toxic environment, but here there still exists a toxic culture in the way they have disrespected clients during the course of a very expensive renovation. Working out among paint buckets and bags of concrete is not my jam, and pretty insulting. I am now one of many who have fled!

My experience so far has been the only good things! I love how clean the facility is, the music is never obnoxious or too loud, woman respect the rules and the staff are so great to work with!

This is the best gym I've been to. The equipment, space, trainers, hot tub... just everything is perfect.

Ignore this review. Google maps won't stop advertising Healthworks and rating it poorly is the only way to de-prioritize the recommendation. If the business paid for targeting advertising, they did so excessively and deserve this review.

I've been really enjoying healthworks so far. I joined about 6 weeks ago, and have been really appreciating the frequent class schedule- including great challenging classes-, wide variety of equipment, sauna, clean locker room, and towel service. And great location. I now have a gym habit again after 18 years of trying occasionally and failing. The app for booking classes works really well, and I find that I can usually get the class I want. This is true even if a class initially looks booked, because of folks drop out on day of.One complaint would be that the gym says it is open until 9p but cleaners are working on the gym floor starting at 8p (though you can ignore them) and the sauna closes at 8:45p. It would be great to be truly open later. Another would be for the mics on the classes to be tested a little better, I often can't hear what the instructor is saying over the music.

Nice, clean, great equipment, top facilities and classes. The only negative is how crowded it gets past 5.30pm. Other than that I love this place.

Giving this place two stars because they are charging way too much to have this kind of customer service. The location is great, however, they are non-responsive, and when they do respond, they talk down to customers. In my experience, they don't reply to emails, then on phone calls they'll say they will send information/forms via email and then never send it. There's also lack of transparency about charges during membership freeze, and that's another area where it seems patronizing and suspicious. For a place that's so expensive, this is unacceptable. I burned a lot more emotional energy than calories here, and I will be cancelling my membership.

Do you love getting chased out of the gym at 8 p.m. to aggressive cleaners, an hour before the gym actually closes? Would you want to come here, every day, never complain once, then the one time you actually complain about something valid, have the general manager do nothing? Then this is the gym for you!
