The MIT Furniture Exchange offers a great selection of affordable, gently-used furniture and household goods for eligible students from nearby universities, including MIT, Harvard, Emerson, BU, Suffolk, and Tufts. This service project of the MIT Women's League provides discounted items while supporting scholarships at MIT. Customers have reported finding perfect accent chairs and other small items at more than half the price of buying new. Although the Exchange is exclusive to qualifying students, those with the required ID are encouraged to visit and discover hidden treasures through their "treasure hunt" shopping experience.
