A couple of weeks ago I struck an object in The Callahan Tunnel, and I drove on - it was impossible to stop - and I noticed smoke and a smell of burning oil from beneath my car and limped into Alewife Mobil, not knowing anything about the place but feeling desperate. Marc, the owner, stopped what he was doing , put my car up on a lift, and examined it, pointing out various areas of damage to me. While he offered to do the repairs if I wished, I declined, being wary of an unknown garage/gas station doing what seemed like a large job, potentially running into thousands of dollars. So I told him I was going to have it towed to the BMW dealership where I’d bought it years earlier, and he was fine with that, not pressuring me in the least. And when I asked him what I owed him, he said nothing, that I’d been through enough already.
While I waited for the tow truck to arrive he chatted amiably to me and asked if there was anything he could do, or anything I needed. Over the next hour it dawned on me that the peoplle he had working for him were refugees from - I believe - Ethiopia, and he treats them like family members.
I’ve never had an experience quite like this, and certainly not at a gas station/repair facility! It restored my faith in humanity.

I have a hard time going to auto shops, but I felt safe going here. The staff was both professional and friendly and they went out of their way to help me when my battery died. And now my car runs better than it has in years.

I went there twice and both times they diagnosed the problem instantly. Before that I took my Lexus to three different mechanics and no one could diagnose the problem. I like the positive atmosphere, it's healing when you're worried about your car. I think it's a great place to get a quality result! 👏

Excellent customer service. I go there for my car inspection and more recently to get my tire replaced. They took time to help me select the right set of tires for my electric vehicle and I couldn't be happier with them.

I always get my inspections here. Mechanics never try to scare me into getting unnecessary and expensive work done at their shop.

These guys are wonderful! I pulled in to pick up some anti-freeze because my reserve tank was low... Not only did they stop what they where doing to answer my questions but went over and beyond to look at it and fill it, and check my oil .. Thank you so much!! I will be back bringing my car here to be serviced from now on!! Thanks again!! 😀

MARC AND MARK ARE THE BEST!! I have been here for service and all of my inspections and they are the best around. They are friendly, welcoming, great price, great service, quick, knowledgeable, and everything you are looking for when you take you car somewhere. Cant recommend this crew enough!

WARNING: Avoid this place if you don't know much about cars! These guys want every last pennies of your money as possible and not honest, they will be waiting for you like a prey. Just an example today one of my car needed oil change and filters, simple as that, they scammed me into paying north of $200 for that and recommended another north of $1,000 in repairs, brakes,.. what? A less than 5 years old car well maintaine. Very aggressive. #StayAway #WeNeedRefund
