About Museum of Comparative Zoology
The Museum of Comparative Zoology is a hidden gem and an amazing museum with an incredible and deceptively large collection. It is included with the same ticket as the Harvard Museum of Natural History and the Peabody Museum, making it technically three museums in one and an excellent value. The collection includes astounding specimens from all over the world: skeletons, fossils, animals, an astounding collection of rocks and rare gems from across the world and space, and the Harvard mammoth. The glass exhibits of sea creatures and the unbelievably lifelike glass flowers are highlights, as is the really astounding Native American collection. The museum is both educational and engaging, highly recommended for families and curious minds of all ages. It is the kind of place you can go back to again and again. The museum staff are super friendly and helpful. Visitors should book a good few hours or even a full day to explore the whole museum complex and receive a map upon entry. The handicapped entrance is around the building but involves a long walk. While the ethical presentation of the collection is a work in progress, the museum is worth a visit to support that effort and to see the amazing scientists at work.

Was not expecting much from this museum. I was so impressed by how large it was and how much there was to see

It was okay, I just expected something more. In any case, if you are in the area it is worth a visit. Book a good few hours to be able to see the whole museum complex which is made up of several museums, even a day if you want to go in detail. Receive a map upon entry.

Still one of my favorite museums. Worth dropping by if you're in the area, or Boston in general!
