Overly priced building with respect to the services provided to the tenants. Since last one year we have faced so many issues and a huge hike in the rent irrespective of the issues. Naming a few: laundry room shut down for 3 straight months, two out of three elevators are always down, water pipe burst and leakage very frequently, letting people smoke in the corridors of building, the deck offering cheaper parking options being closed for unlimited time and forcing tenants to park on the expensive floor, ants in the kitchen, hot water shut down almost once every month and many more.

Parkside Place is a wonderful place to live! We just moved here recently and have had a great experience here! The apartment is new, modern, and up to date, the building has so many cool things to offer, and all the staff are beyond welcoming and friendly! Extra special shoutouts to Penny, Londa, Liz, David, and Hiley!

Not pet friendly! Not event human friendly! elevator is always broken. Get ready to march down 20 floors on stairs,We have been lured in here by the promise of being pet friendly, yet we receive weekly mails from the lawyer of this manager for leaving dog hair in the hallway. Guess what? dogs shed! now they are terminating our contract because the dog peed in the elevator! This manager is a joke. He can spend all money to renovate the club room to lure in new tenants, but is unable to fix the elevator that is always always broken. Just talk to a single tenant before moving in. That is all you need to do to figure out why this place is terrible! this manager is terrible!

Worst service for residents, manager does not take residents complaints seriously, elevators never work, they take forever to do remodels without respecting the stipulated deadline or consequences for residents, do not move here

After living in this building for years, we have experienced several major issues. However, the staff has always been friendly and helpful until the recent arrival of the manager, David K. Unfortunately, he has been unresponsive and disrespectful to residents' complaints. The building's elevator has been a persistent issue, with two out of three elevators being out of service for almost half of each week. Additionally, noise from neighbors is a significant problem, and the management's response, particularly David's, is inadequate, with a claim that the building is not soundproof and tenants have the right to make noise. If you enjoy constant drumming or other loud activities, you may find the place suitable, but I strongly advise against living here.

It has been a challenging year at Parkside Place. Our rent was raised by $500 earlier this year, and soon after that we received a notice that the building will be going through some renovations. It has been a couple months since these renovations have begun, and some or other thing in the building is adversely affected (e.g. heating doesn't work properly, the internet connection is poor, out of the three elevators they have, one is always down, the laundry room will be closing soon, issues with hot water, and the list continues). We have an infant and it has been extremely difficult to live in this building.

We moved here in 2020... and had a great experience living here during that year. The management has changed since last year (lots of changes) and we have seen almost every thing that makes us want to move out asap: - this year the rent was increased by $500! and guess what? since then the elevators have been a pain (one out of the three is always broken down), the heating system had an issue, the internet never works properly, and now the building management is going for a big renovation which means there won't be any access to the laundry room for 10 weeks (they had alternative options to support this but doesn't work when you have a small baby!). Today there was a leak and there has been a water shutdown for almost 12 hours! I recommend no one should move in to this building. To the management company: Please DO NOT BOTHER RESPONDING TO THIS MESSAGE!

We were very fortunate to find Parkside Place and to live there for two years before moving back to our country at the end of July. The building is a very well-run, well-maintained place in a part of town with beautiful views. We appreciated the tranquility of being distant enough from a bustling city, while having the ease of accessibility to Greater Boston through the 75 bus (which stops right at the building), blue bikes and even, when we had time to spare, an enjoyable 35-minute walk to Harvard Square. You will appreciate having parks all around, whether to jog/exercise or keep your children entertained. And Fresh Pond is a major attraction at all times of the year. Major grocery store chains are all a reasonably short walk from the building, and specialty stores (especially Armenian and Middle Eastern) are also nearby. There are also good places to eat on Belmont St, Mt. Auburn and Huron Ave where the building is located. The apartments have excellent facilities: very well-heated in the winter (and you can control the temperature in the apartment yourself), and nice and cool with the AC during the summer. The kitchen is equipped with ample fridge space, a state of the art oven/stove and microwave, a dishwasher, with plenty of cupboards for storing non-perishables. Closet space is another great feature of Parkside apartments, as you'll get several walk-in closets. Everything is in excellent shape, but in case you need repairs, the maintenance crew is definitely one of the most responsive and efficient around. And speaking of facilities/maintenance, another Parkside perk is having laundry as part of the rent. The Club Room is another great feature with the free coffee on offer, a high-quality billiard table, comfy work spaces and other great features. My wife and I would take our girls there very often when the weather outside was an obstacle, or when we didn't feel we had enough energy for a real outing. The backyard holds a special place in our hearts, because management very kindly allowed us to have a small party for our girls' first birthday there. The backyard is great for entertaining the kids, barbequing, or just to enjoy the greenery. But speaking of management, I would have to say that for all the many wonderful things one can say about the building, it's the people at Parkside who ultimately made our stay so special. David and Hannie at management are both friendly, forthright and very easy to communicate with, no matter how big or small our issue was. They made us feel at home, and our family's gratitude to them is greater than I can express. The concierges are all wonderful; it was great to have them around to ask all sorts of questions, and of course to pick up packages, but the warmth and friendliness of our conversations with Peter, Haile, John et al really made a big difference. The maintenance and cleaning crews are just as warm, friendly and efficient too.And finally the community itself: we enjoyed interacting with so many great neighbors that it is impossible to even make an adequate list. Once you get to know people at Parkside, the community feel of the building becomes very clear and familiar. Although our life in Cambridge was ultimately just a stepping stone to a future spent somewhere else, we consider our time spent in Parkside one filled with wonderful memories and bonds that will endure for a long time.

The experience with Parkside Place was more than wonderful. I am very grateful to you and very happy when I was living in Parkside Place. The staff were extremely helpful and eager to provide the utmost in luxury. I would not hesitate if there was a chance to live there again. Thank you so much.

August 2022 by William C.
Originally I posted an outstanding review several months ago (under the alias William L.). Unfortunately, when it came time to moving in; it was a total nightmare. When I had asked Hannie if we could move in earlier, he said no problem and to give the office a heads up. Well, 2 weeks before our initial move in date I called and spoke with David Kyrou and explained the situation, he told me no problem. Come our move in date I had expected our rent to remain the same, but David said that we needed to sign a new contract. Per the new contract it was going to be $300 more per month. My wife caught the error before signing and said that this was a completely new contract. When we explained to him the error, he directed our issue to "corporate". We were threatened to be evicted, even after paying the deposit. After hours of arguing and the stress of moving my family into this unit, corporate finally agreed to honor our initial contract--which shouldn't have been the case if David had disclosed that this was going to change our contract to begin with. Well after a month and a half of living here--the elevators have broken down not once, not twice, but three times. There's currently still only 1 elevator in use, the water heater was down for several days, and there doesn't seem to be enough "working" washers and dryers (even though there are supposed to be 20 washers and 20 dryers). For the past two weeks I've been having to either do laundry late at night around 11pm or early in the morning around 6am-7am on the weekdays. I am also disappointed that the EV chargers cost money to use even though it was relayed to me that it was included and free to use for tenants (but honestly for $0.20/kW its not outrageously high). The only things that are a huge plus is still the fact that utilities are included, there's 24/7 security personnel on-site/front desk staff, washer and dryers are free to use, garage parking is only $150/mo, and the fact that this property association has Hannie Khalil who, in my opinion, is the best and most competent property manager to work with here. The city view units are great, but when the infrastructure needs repairs it can be a real pain.
