I went on July 2nd just for a gel removal on my toenails. Unfortunately, they were extremely rough with the drill and over-filed my natural nail. One of my toenails is now way too thin, sensitive, and visibly damaged. I expected a much more careful and professional service.

GO TO ANY OTHER NAIL SALON. On vacation in Boston/ Cambridge and decided to get my nails done. The nail tech took over an hour to prep my nails, she got up in the middle of my soaking my fingers to go eat something (it was past lunch time). She let my fingers soak for at least 20 minutes (my fingers went numb), she had seaweed all over her from her lunch (which fell onto the work table/my hands and was stuck to her shirt) AND in the process she cut/buffed too much skin and i was bleeding in multiple places. I got a powder manicure and she only dipped my fingers TWICE. The color is see through and you can see my nails underneath, I have never seen a nail tech skip the third dip and be okay with how the color looks. The techs are not friendly, fast or good at doing nails. I would give zero stars if I could. Overpriced, the worst service I've ever received, and a waste of time in a beautiful city. EDIT FOR OWNER: my sister and I had an appointment Friday, April 11th at 2pm, the prep experience was awful, the tech was unprofessional and distracted. When 3 o’clock rolled around and she was still prepping my nails (an hour into the appointment), I explained how we had a ride scheduled to pick us up at 3:20. She then rushed through the powder and obviously skipped out on the dip (my nails were supposed to be blue, but turned out clear). I felt extremely uncomfortable the whole time and had to rush out the door because our ride had been waiting outside for 15 minutes at that point. Our appointment was at 2pm and the picture below is the final product of an hour and a half of work. I am further upset by your reply, as it is condescending to think I don’t know what salon I went to because I was a tourist. I have never left a bad review in my life, but this experience was so bad I felt the need to tell others. I had to go get my nails redone today and the nail tech I went to was so disturbed by the state of my nails, I was reminded of this experience and felt the need to write this review because it was so ridiculous. Be more considerate to your customers online and in person.

After moving to the area, it took me months find a new nail salon for dip manicure. This a classic, no nonsense nail salon. However, my nails have lasted at least a month each time I’ve been. Prices are completely reasonable. This is your sign to go!

Stopped in to get a lip wax. A lady was doing nails looked me up and down and just said “no too busy” I couldn’t hear her so I said I’m sorry? And she said “too busy”. I looked around and there was another worker there but only one customer. A lip wax takes 2 mins, if that. You could have asked me to wait a moment, you just didn’t want to do a $6 service. The worst attitude.

The last few times I have been here it has been closed, despite what is on google maps and business hours. The last time I went in the middle of the day, an employee was closing up and I asked her about the hours. She said “we close when it’s cold outside” …. It’s Boston… it’s always cold outside 😒

I called to set up an appointment and they put me on hold indefinitely with no notice. I called again and they said “they’re closed on Sundays in the winter”—their business on Google maps says they’re still open.

I had an appointment today and someone came in after me with no appointment. We were both getting regular pedicures. The person without an appointment was seated first, and was given undivided attention during the same service I was supposed to get. 20 minutes later, someone finally came over to me to start my pedicure, while also finishing up with another customer at the same time. Constantly ping ponging between us. I got up and left. I was told to “wait 2 mins” as the person doing my nails was the only one who does dip powder for manicure. What does that have to do with a regular pedicure? I have also received dip manicures from other technicians before that were present today. If you’re too busy with your appointments, you shouldn’t take walk ins. I have never received such bad service. No one even apologized to me. Expecting someone to pay $35 for a service where your appointment time isn’t even honored is absurd. I will never come here again.

Absolutely horrible and unsafe service. Came in for a gel manicure. Have come by before and always needed one or two tips added cause my real nails break here and there. Came in an sat down with a need for two tips added. Only two. The nail specialist, Thu Nga, saw that and never asked or said anything so naturally I assumed she will add tips for those two fingers which is the normal thing to do since no one wants to walk around with two shortened finger nails. A regular appointment lasts about 1-1.15 hour. She tells me after removing my previous gel, cutting my nails, and shaping (only took 25 minutes) that she has no time to add tips after I had ASKED since I didn’t see her doing it on her own. And she just kept saying no time no time at all. I was dismayed. I asked why she didn’t tell me that from the start and she proceeded to giggle and not give me an answer. So I respectfully said I will just get a regular manicure. She was then upset that I said that and then rushed and ended up making me bleed on my finger (as seen in the picture below). I then paid and walked out. This is absolutely unacceptable. I will be reporting this type of horrid and unsafe service at Sunny Nails.

I had a regular manicure done here and within 3 days the nail polish cracked. My nails weren’t shaped evenly. Not happy with their service. $20 for a terrible manicure.

Great service and great prices. This is the ONLY nail salon I go to—-other salons charge way more and the work is horrible (I’ve tried several and was disappointed every time). Make an appointment—u won’t regret it!
