Went in for a battery replacement. Originally estimated ~$10. But when I came back to pick it up they charged me an extra ~$30 for a waterproofing test. Be careful of these shady business practices.

I took my Casio g shock in for a battery replacement. The total came out to $75 to replace the $12 battery. When I asked the staff about this, I was berated constantly asked if I knew that my watch was a solar watch. The staff then told me that the reason for the high price was that they replaced the “solar cell” the actual solar cell was not replaced and they were actually referring to the battery. When I received the watch. It was showing a low battery indicator. I asked the staff if the job was warranted and they said no. I have left my watch on a windowsill in the sun for several days and the watch will not charge past 50%. I’m almost certain that a bad or old battery was put in my watch. I don’t mind paying a premium for premium service, but I would consider this experience to be anything but.

Took my Swiss watch (Mondaine) there to get the battery replaced. I’ve noticed that it fails to keep up with the digital clocks in my home regularly. Sad, because I paid quite a bit just for the battery there.

Abysmal service, with their sole purpose being to price gouge you with zero expertise or advice offered to customers.I've been to this location multiple times to shop for watch straps, get straps replaced, and to size bracelets. Each step of the way, communication with Susan has been terrible. Even the most simple requests to her take forever to complete, and on top of that she offers no useful advice or suggestions. Not to mention, their strap selection is mediocre at best. The last straw was when I came in to get a watch bracelet changed and sized. Susan immediately saw that there weren't enough removable links on the new bracelet to fit my wrist. So instead of telling me upfront that it wouldn't work, she immediately took my watch away, had the technician size the bracelet, and gave me back the ill-fitting bracelet. And when (as expected) it didn't fit when I tried it, and I wanted the original bracelet back on it, she says the technician has left for the day at 6:20 PM (though they supposedly close at 7).So I come back the next day to pick up my watch in its original bracelet, and was promptly charged a completely exorbitant $45. Absurd given that a simple bracelet change and sizing takes 5 minutes, but Susan insisted they spent "over an hour" on my timepiece that's now exactly in it's initial condition. Not to mention, the whole thing was completely avoidable in the first place with any honest business, who would tell a regular customer upfront that the bracelet wasn't going to work. From the other one star reviews, frankly I'm grateful that they didn't scratch, dent, or straight up lose my watch for the brief period it was there. Disgusting, avoid at all costs.

7/23/23- I took an old clock that belonged to my mother in to Swiss Watchmaker to see if they could fix it. The clock is a Jaeger ‘Petite Neuchateloise’ from the 1950’s and has some considerable value – both sentimental and monetary. The associate, Susan who took my information and $50 deposit explained that she would obtain an estimate for repair and advise on service.9/18/23- after nearly two months, I had not heard back from Susan about the possibility of repair. I called the store and spoke with someone else and left a message inquiring about my clock. Later that day, I received a text from LWH informing me that the clock was ready for pick up, but didn’t give any info about repair. A few minutes later, I received a text from Susan saying: ‘I have one more repairer to ask about your clock because he specializes in restoring music boxes; so wait until I hear from him, OK?’I replied and said “yes that sounds good to get another recommendation from a specialist, thank you Susan!”Susan replied: “I got 2 cookin’!”11/1/23- After almost 4 months, I still had not heard from anyone at Swiss Watchmaker about the status of my clock. I went into the store and asked –the person in the sore did not have any information- but said he would give Susan a message that I’d stopped in.11/4/23- I did not hear back from Susan so I texted her to ask for an update and what she had learned from the specialist she mentioned in the previous text. I got no response from Susan.12/8/23 –after another month of no communication from the store, I went in to ask about my clock. The woman in the store said she didn’t know where my clock was but would leave a message for Susan.Later that day I went into the store Susan was there and said she’d have an answer for me tomorrow, the next day. I told her that she had assured me that she would update me but never did.12/10/23- Two days later, I had not heard back from Susan. I went into the store and asked Susan for an update- she said she was unable to take the clock to the specialist as she had promised. I said that I didn’t want to wait for yet another promised update and that I wanted to take my clock. Susan said that the clock wasn’t in the store but in her car in the parking lot and that she couldn’t go get it. She asked me to wait another day and assured me she would have some news about the repair. I felt that I had no choice but to say okay, and asked her to promise to update me the next day. She replied “you’re on my mind.12/11/23- I received a text from LWH at Swiss Watchmakers informing me that the ‘cost of repair would exceed the value of the clock’ and that if I chose ‘to pursue restoration, we will require an additional fee of $125.’I replied that I would pick up the clock that week and would not pursue restoration12/13 – I went into the store to get my clock. I saw Susan and told her I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service, and that I didn’t feel like a valued customer. I asked for my $50 deposit back since she had my clock for 5 months during which time I received no communication. She said she ‘you have a beautiful clock and I’m sorry if you aren’t happy with what we did.” I asked if there was someone else I could speak with and was told no, that they don’t give deposits back.I am extremely disappointed in the service at Swiss Watchmaker and will not be returning. Over the years, I was a loyal customer and trusted their workmanship and spent a lot of money on repairs and battery changes. I would warm anyone not to trust Swiss Watchmaker with anything other than a battery change. They used to do great work, but this recent experience has destroyed my trust.

Too long of a wait.Cannot help more than one customer at a time so you’re stuck waiting in a check out line the minute you enter.Good work though.

My experience is similar to the other one star reviews. I brought my watch in for a battery change (which took two hours), was charged extra for waterproofing, and my watch stopped working by the next day. Went someplace else and it turns out it was a dead battery. Glad I didn’t pay for further tests to see what might be wrong with my watch.

Pleasant folks, allowed me in by giving me a face mask when I didn’t have one (I visited several months ago). However, they broke my late grandfathers watch upon repairing it, after I had deliberately explained to them the watch’s sentimental significance. This was later confirmed by another watch repair store verbally and in writing stating the lid was put on backwards, breaking the dial.I did call to explain that the “fixed” watch they returned to me had a broken dial but they insisted on bringing it in in order to assess the damage. I ultimately went to the other aforementioned store since I didn’t want any other potential complications after no concessions were offered from this location. This cost me an additional $60.To be fair, this watch mishap was only part of the service I had asked for, including another watch repair and two strap replacements, which were all completed efficiently and effectively. However, breaking a watch I had expressed was epically significant, was upsetting.

My fiance came here as his watch was slightly too large. He just needed one link taken out. After one week of absolutely no communication, my fiance reached back out to see if it was done, which it was. However, they took 3 links out instead of one. They put one back in, but the pin between the remaining 2 links is completely mangled. Additionally, there is a scratch on the side of the watch that was not there previously. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I took an automatic watch in for general service in March 2022. They were unable to get it working and said they'd need to send it to a specialist, which is fine. But it's now October and I've been unable to get a report on the status of my watch despite calling/texting regularly for the past 8 months. At this point I've simply asked for my watch back repeatedly to no effect. Pretty unacceptable levels of service that have driven me to writing this review, which I didn't want to do.

Purchased a watch from their online website for local pickup. Upon arriving to pickup the watch they were unable to locate the item in the store. I informed the associate that if they could find the watch to give me a call, if not, go ahead and refund my purchase online. I ultimately had to follow up with them and request a refund for my purchase as they didnt end up having the item.
