I had a problem with an order and Jack C. Was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond what was expected of him to solve the issue. And he did with a smile ?

Excellent product line and great shopping experience! The staff was friendly and helpful but not too " hard sell". The store is merchandised beautifully and you want to go here again and again! I loved my quality purchases and it's not my first time! Fun to shop and get to know this brand, there's always something new that I NEED!

The staff at your Cambridge location are incredible. They’re friendly, personable, and helpful to an extent I haven’t found at any other store. Blown away.

What a breath of fresh air in the retail market! Beautiful appointed merchandise, knowledgeable sales professionals and an attractive store. Journals, Italian sunglasses, Polaroids, travel gear, pens, photo albums and so much more.

Great stationary store, if a little pricey (but you're in Harvard square, so it should be expected). Wide selection of neat paper products, pens, and a few novelty items. Lots of fancy options and unique paper styles. This is not a great shop for utility paper, but you can tell that walking in. Amazing for presents, a notebook to pull out at a meeting where you want to make an impression, or for a really nice browsing experience!

I love all Topdrawer Shops. I was eager to see the new Topdrawer Harvard Square location and finally got in to see it. I loved Black Ink, that once occupied the same space. Topdrawer is such a go-to place for me for great gifts and useful products. I love their unique range of sunglasses, bags and pens. But I have bought all kinds of Japanese-made goods too, like their sleek bento boxes. The staff is always nice. Really a unique shop. Highly recommend.

I was incredibly sad when Black Ink was forced to leave Harvard Square, but my inner stationary n*** rejoiced when I finally stepped into Topdrawer for the first time yesterday. I initially thought it was a clothing or travel store, given the nomad branding, but it's actually a combo of Boston-based everyday and travel accessories and a Japanese stationary store. 4.5 stars rounded up for the stationary, atmosphere, and service. The space itself is airy and sleek, with an island of pens, pencils, and notebooks bordered by well crafted bags, glasses, and reversible slippers that looked so fuzzy, I wanted to touch every one. But really, I was there for the stationary. Japanese stationary is the pinnacle of paper perfection, and Muji is usually my go to. But here, the quality is top notch, reminding me of a miniature Kinokuniya (NYC) or the couple stationary stores I visited in Japan many years ago. Not a vast collection here, but a well-curated one that's hard to get elsewhere in the States. I delighted in all the different pens, pencils, and fountain pens on display. The various notebooks had beautiful paper -- some handmade, some not -- so I was incredibly slow as I marveled and mulled over what to pick. I'm not a planner/journal system person (think Traveler or Midori), but the leather covers and inserts from another brand made me think seriously about changing my journaling practices. In the end, I had to restrain myself. I finally picked out a couple letterpress postcards with a daruma figure on them, a little notebook (one among many other fish designs), and a Pentel touch fine felt tipped pen. I'm an avid journaled and letter writer, and I can't wait to share these goodies with friends and penpals. Prices are a bit higher than your average stationary store, but it looked high quality. Opening a store during the pandemic is tough, and a sleek lifestyle store usually isn't my cup of tea. But the guy on staff was incredibly friendly and open to sharing the background of the store, and the displays drew me right in. They also have covid protocols, like opened doors, air filters, and ample hand sanitizer when handling merchandise (plus trays for placing items for sanitation). I will definitely be back for more stationary!

Shane was SO helpful in coordinating a gift for a coworker! Our team is based in NY/CA but our coworker is in Cambridge, so we needed somebody to help us select items. He went above and beyond to help us put together a beautiful present that was very on brand for our team. She loves it!!

I can’t say enough about how much Shane has help us in pulling together a gift package for one of our beloved colleagues! Despite so many COVID constraints we still managed to put together a beautiful gift set all over the phone, delivered via Uber, and in her hands within an hour!!! I also learned KOLO is totally Boston based so this added another layer of charm to the story behind the gift. I would give 10 stars if I could! Thank you Topdrawer!!!

W O W. The design of this store is top-tier, as well as the service and products. I went in to buy a micron pen and ended up buying a book, a creative journal, and so much more small, yet necessary, things. It's like a fancy Target (one of my favorite stores to get lost in).Shane knew the products very well, he mentioned that the Kolo pouch I got is designed in Boston, I'm from the area so I love supporting local businesses. The whole staff was welcoming, very attentive to all the products, and made sure everything was neat and sanitary. I will definitely be returning soon!

Popped in today and was absolutely delighted to find this new, funky and eclectic store in Harvard square full of fascinating, brilliantly designed and slick products. The gentleman working there was so helpful and we left with some really fascinating stationary supplies for my artist daughter. It’s hard to walk around and not find something you’ll want to bring home.

The most magical little shop of carefully curated and colorful tools for work and travel. Topdrawer is a stationary lovers absolute dream. It’s impossible to walk out of this store without a treat for yourself or a loved one, perhaps just because of the excellent customer service from the employees who know every detail on everything in there. Shoutout to Shane who made my last trip there so successful!
