Good quality but you pay high prices

I have been a Whole Foods loyalist for years. Moved to the area for a few weeks each month for grad school and this is my local store. Such a disappointment. It never occurred to me to check expiration dates when shopping but at this place YOU MUST. I spent around $600 on my first trip buying pantry staples and fresh produce for the week. Many (10+) items were expired within a 2-3 days of my buying them despite being priced as normal (not marked down) and apparently “fresh” looking in the store. I had organic honeycrisp apples with deep cuts covered by produce stickers that were brown inside on day two after purchase, organic berries with mold hiding deep in the carton, an $18 small batch regionally produced blue cheese dressing with two days until expiration, stale cashews that were within a month of their “best by” date, dried mango slices that were hard to the point of being impenetrable by human dentition, several cans of bay harbor clams and lobster bisque with small dents, and more of the like. I have never thrown away so much food. Not worth my time to deal with the drama or embarrassment of making a grocery store return - heed this warning though: buyer beware if you shop here check the dates and condition of your food carefully lest you waste $250 a week on trash too.

Visited this location a couple weeks back and I saw the most disgusting thing. I needed to grab a few items first thing in morning and as I’m nearing the meat counter I see a mouse running around all over the meats. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I notified the guy in the seafood section and when I told him I got the sense that this wasn’t the first time this type of situation occurred there. I will certainly not return to this location and let others know. Makes me wonder how often this happens.

Every time they see a Hispanic/black person walk into that store the employees automatically think it's okay to follow , harass , make them feel very uncomfortable and racially profile as if they are going to steal. The manager doesn't really care probably because he's apart of the shenanigans and it's just sad to see . It's Cambridge where it's diverse despite there being mainly white people who go into this market and it's 2023 so it's sad to see this still being an issue , like they make it super obvious as well ... they have good variety of food for it being a smaller store but overall the experience with the customer service is horrible and makes you never want to shop here again and this is coming from someone who has spent lots of money here and also would like to mention I bought some vegetables washed them out and ate them but the pesticides were sooo strong that my throat started to swell up and I started having a bad allergic reaction as well so just be careful

Small but clean and organized. Staff helpful. Self-check-out strategically placed. Not crowded at the time I went. Found everything I needed. Except a brand of hummus I think they no longer sell. Pleasant experience.

Clean market with many fresh options. To be expected pricey compared to regular markets. Great location. Friendly staff. You get reimbursed for bringing your own bags. Make sure you pull up your Amazon prime app and get discounts.

This is my first time in a whole foods in over 2 years. It’s not as good as I remember. Popular prepared items like burritos are sold-out. I asked the worker and she said they always sell out fast… why not make more burritos? Wegmans is superior.

Great cheese and coffee sections! Super helpful staff will always take the time to help you find what you need. Their cut flower bouquetss are also beautiful and last a long time.

There's no reason for a whole foods this small to have a parking lot. If you have a car DO NOT DRIVE TOO THIS WHOLE FOODS. they will not have what you need because it is small. Just drive to market basket instead. There's no reason to come to this specific location unless it's your local location and you have no choice. Other than that, there's a worker here who seems to try out his stand up routine on any poor unfortunate customer who has the misfortune of being rung up on his register. If you don't give him a hearty enough laugh his feelings will be hurt. Keep that in mind and laugh well if you make the trip to this specific whole foods

The prices of certain items were high like fruits and vegetables .But most of the other items like milk, bread, and meat items are kind of cheap and fresh here. The place had so many baked items like muffins, cup cakes, etc

It's an old, smaller Whole Foods Market, so it doesn't have the usual amenities, but it has a good selection of natural groceries. It's entirely adequate. There's no pressing reason to make the trip to the larger store on Memorial Drive.

If having other people of color racially profile you, getting followed around a store, and staff who are more interested in covering-up wrong doing instead of fix it is your bag to just buy groceries, sure go here. Otherwise save your money. I filed 2 complaints against this location with the corporate office. Yes, it is that bad.If you are marking an Amazon return, sure go here. If you need to buy food, don't. I had to return items that were spoiled, rancid, opened, oddly resealed and stale and they kept coding them as, "I didn't like it." Then tried to blame me and said it was not possible for there to be any issues in the store them blamed me and acted like I was doing something wrong, and told me I was, "Abusing the Return Policy." This is after of course I reported the issues to a person who identified themselves as a Manager chubby guy named Felix, who told me that it was "Impossible," when I said there was an issue happening in store and when I countered stating I should not have to return items so frequently, he literally told me, "Maybe our products are not for you and you should shop somewhere else." So the issue is the items are too organic and healthy for my low brow taste- when I have eaten the items before and I know what they SHOULD taste like? Not that I reported problems your staff refused to code it correctly to cover up the issues, and your staff then lied saying I must be doing something shady? Then telling me I was banned from returning items when they literally cannot do that as they are not a local franchise business? When they as a staff are not reporting the issue, but somehow I am the problem? Then lied and said there was no one up the chain for me to report the issues to, refused to give me an email or phone number? Nope. Gross. Be better than that.

It's not one of the best Whole Foods, but the location is great. It is a bit small and doesn't sell alcohol. The one on River street is a lot better.

Despite its location this store rocks! Produce super fresh with a huge variety. Always food to test throughout the store. The bakery is out of this world. The staff is educated and willing to help. Lots of parking.
