Been a client here for several years due to my work. My experiences with customer service (Jane and Alex) have always been positive here. Vehicle selection is limited however I come early enough in the morning so a vehicle is always available for me.

I reserved a vehicle through Uber’s rental program, confirmed it over the phone, set up the online account, and was assured everything was ready. When I arrived, the story changed completely. The car I reserved wasn’t available, my “reservation” apparently meant nothing, and the staff on-site seemed uninterested and unhelpful. This is not the first time—it’s been the same broken system since at least 2018.
Every Uber-affiliated rental agency operates this way: you waste time, money, and energy just to show up and be told “oh well, nothing we can do.” It doesn’t matter if it’s rides, rentals, or even Uber Eats—anything tied to Uber’s platform ends up being unreliable and one-sided.
After seven years, you’d expect them to fix this, but nothing has changed. Instead, customers keep getting strung along with fake reservations, wasted trips, and zero accountability. Absolute waste of time.

The experience at this location was deeply disappointing and unacceptable, especially regarding the receptionist’s conduct. The receptionist was unprofessional, rude, and appeared intoxicated, which is completely inappropriate for any customer-facing role. Despite clearly communicating multiple times that I had changed companies earlier this year, she persistently asked for my old ID related to the company AWD codes, showing a lack of attention and respect. When I firmly reiterated the change, she became visibly annoyed and muttered under her breath, demonstrating poor customer service and a dismissive attitude.
After finally updating my information, when it took me a little time to pull the identification from my phone for the AWD code, she began accusing me of scamming her and started laughing hysterically. This behavior is not only disrespectful but highly unprofessional and damaging to customer trust. Even while returning the car, she was petty and deliberately made me wait extra time to take the keys.

Quick & easy rental car pick up after I finally found the place. It would be great if there was any indication that this rental counter is INSIDE a Holiday Inn. NO signage inside or outside the building to indicate the location. I'm sorry others had a problem with the customer service, rental agent was pleasant and efficient.

I would rate 0 if I could. WORST rental experience ever. I booked the car online 2 weeks ahead, and when I arrive they told me the card I used did not match therefore they can’t give me the car. I called customer service, turns out it’s because when they processed my Apple Pay online, they generated a virtual card, that’s why the record did not match, it was their full responsibility, but the only solution is for me to cancel my reservation and make a new one. So I did, and the lady at the counter promised that we can just come back on July31st and we are all set. So I trusted her, but when we came back on the 31st around 11:00AM, she said she didn’t have any car available right now, and the earliest we can get a car is 3:00 PM. When we double checked with her on Jul.28th, she said just to come here and everything will be all set. At this point we’ve already came here in Lyft 4 times just to rent a car. I immediately cancelled the reservation and booked with Enterprise, and got a car within 30 minutes. TRASH PLACE please avoid, and the lady has such a different attitude between men and women (she only smiles and talks nicely to men)to an extend that makes me feel sick.

ZERO stars is the actual rating. BAIT AND SWITCH AT IT'S FINEST! Stay away from this location and Avis customer service is no help. Booked a Premium car (Toyota Crown or similar) two weeks in advance of a trip. Was given a Chevy Trax (intermediate SUV) and was told they were an equivalent rental so no discount. There were no other vehicles readily available so had to take the Trax under duress. Agent at the location was unprofessional to say the least. Called Avis customer service once on the road and they were useless, said they couldn't do anything until the folio was closed. Turned the car in and they offered approximately a $50 discount. Have filed a fraud claim with my credit card company and have also filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau.

Evehenia who goes by “June” looked and smelled like she had been drinking alcohol.
I dealt with her three times, each time incredibly rude to me, she forced me to rent an electric vehicle, which l did not reserve and did not want to pay $304 a week for.
Told me either take the electric vehicle or wait at Least a month for a gasoline vehicle.
The vehicle l was paying for to rent broke down and was towed on 6/22. I received a voicemail from Ryan at Avis Vehicle Emergency Management Services that the vehicle l rented was towed successfully to an AVIS location and everything was COMPLETED.
I paid for Uber twice to go up to the Dedham Avis location on 6/23 and 6/24 totally close to $200 in fees, only to be told both times by Evghenia that she was not replacing the vehicle, that l was still paying for and l would CONTINUE to be billed as if l had the vehicle.
She was correct, today SIX days without this vehicle that is back in AVIS possession, 6/28 l was BILLED AGAIN on my credit.
This has caused me so many problems, including NO WORK because l am an Uber driver without a car now.
Stay away from this location of Avis, don’t try to call she NEVER answers the phone it gets transferred over seas.
Trust and believe, l will tell everyone about this terrible experience !

If you are planning to rent with Uber its like going to Casino ,,,, app might say car is there , you hope for gas one , you get electric one or none at all . I understand its not branch issue but at the same time branch could have more reliable phone line so people can check before heading there, had to call like 20 times to get answered....

Worst location ever with horrible service. The place smells like cigarettes, the women that works the front is rude and her manger Tom is even worst. They gave me a hard time obtaining my rental and canceled my reservation without my consent because they lied about an unwritten policy that is not on their website and when I asked them to provide me with the policy they refused and told me to just leave. This is not the first time I’ve felt with the horrible service but today was the last draw; this location needs some serious training

I was in fact given a standard service upon pick. Options are limited for vehicles so don’t expect too much. It was easier a gas car or an electric for me. But now that I have real concerns and am calling the location, no one’s answering. While I was there I watched her not pick up any phone calls even when I had to step out to sort out some information. Don’t count on customer service at this location. Best thing to do for answers is read the terms and conditions. I know, who reads that? But it’s given me insight that I wasn’t able to get while there or over the phone.

Do not come here! Booked a rental at 115pm and arrived by 130pm. Place closes at 2pm. Hotel staff told me the lady always closes and leaves early and at least one person always shows up (LUCKY ME). This is absolutely not how you run a business. I’m appalled and I hope no one ever rents from this place. False advertisement and disrespectful.

I always have a great experience here. Alex is super helpful and always provided me a great car for Uber! I have rented 2 Kia Niros and the price is the lowest! A little over 300 a week flat fee!

Reserved a minivan for a family roadtrip. When we saw the weather forecast we called to extended the rental one day earlier. Not only did they not have the van early, they didn’t have one for the day we asked for originally. The only option was a smaller electric SUV that’s didn’t have the range needed for our trip. Absolutely ridiculous
