“Gerry and Devin - man you could not ask for a nicer, more helpful couple of guys. I had a unique request and Boson EBikes was the ONLY shop to respond and they were able to help me get what I needed. Soon I plan to be in the market for a new e-bike and you know where I'll be going - Boston EBikes!”
“It may have been my first bike shop repair visit ever! BUT they nailed it!!!! Taking out a 2 inch nail and swapping my rear e-bike tire inner tube Quickly and professionally. It was a great first time experience and can’t wait to head back!!!!!!! Call first to make sure they can maintenance your bike!!!”
“I can't find any reason not to like Farina's. I've fallen in love with this place ever since I first walked in looking for my first bike last year. So far, in less than a year I have purchased from Farina's two hybrid bikes, one e-bike, and numerous accessories such as bike locks, helmets, bike gloves, and many more. Never for once have I not been able to find what I was looking for at Farina's, and never for once have I not had my questions answered by their wonderful and helpful staff. I live in the city of Boston, but every time I am in need of anything bikes-related I spend over 40 minutes biking over there without hesitation -- that's how much I appreciate this family-owned business, the lovely family, and most importantly of all, their heart-warming sincerity and kindness. For as long as I am around in the greater Boston area, Farina's is without a shadow of doubt my go-to bike shop. Highly recommend; I'm sure you will find yourself loving this place as much as I did.”
“The worth of having a reliable local bike store available is invaluable. Your kindness and respect to ALL customers is at the top of the list! There are no obstacles that they can't provide options for solving. Shannon provided me with information about the benefits of electric pedal assist bicycles including allowing me to test drive one. I had participated in the PMC for 15 years on a road bike but a stroke on 11/29/23 temporarily altered my capabilities. Shannon agreed with the research I had done about electric bikes, and showed me options. I settled on Electra Townie Step Thru Med/Large in Orchad which was available in another location. After I had the bike, on a return visit to the Braintree location, Ian assisted me with the purchase of 2 side mirrors and attachment bag and water bottle and related accessories. Just recently, after dropping off my bike for a tune up, I asked him if I could have flexibility when picking up the bike because I explained that we were having difficulty with getting the bike rack on the car. He offered that if I could get the bike rack in the car, he could offer assistance at the store with fixing it. In short, I am extremely satisfied with the kind, respectful, professional, competent, and knowledgeable service.”
“Fast splits is the only bicycle store I shop at! Brian and Jesse are alway incredible to work with and are quite honestly, the only two people I trust to work on my bicycles. They are incredibly knowledgeable and are genuinely there to help make your life on a bicycle better and easier!”
“Great service! He was able to do a no-notice same day chain install for me. And in the course of that install, he diagnosed and worked on another issue he found...for no extra charge! Oh, and BTW, was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall great experience!”
“Chris along with his colleagues at the Needham location provided an all-around excellent shopping experience. Landry's is the absolute go-to if you are looking for assistance with your cycling needs, at any level. Simply best in class!”
“Doug and his team are awesome. They were friendly and talked with me about what I was looking for and offered suggestions and alternatives while actually listening to me. They didn’t rush me at all, and made me feel super comfortable - he even let me test out the bike I was interested in to make sure it would work for me.
The bike I ended up with is perfect for what I was looking for. They even helped me look at taller after-market seat posts that are better for my size and installed one for me before I left. Great shop and a group of people who are genuinely invested in what they do and making sure their customers are taken care of.”
“I was riding around Somerville and hit a bump that messed up my chain, took it to this store and they fixed it up quick, gave me some tips on chain care, and didn’t charge me. Very nice would recommend!”

“Apex Velo used their specialized equipment to help me identify the angles needed in order for me to ride safely and comfortably without aggravating existing body injuries. Their friendly and knowledgable staff then special-ordered and installed the parts, coming in under quote. They'll work with your existing bike, which doesn't need to be high-end or new.
Their services made it possible for me to continue to riding a bike; without them my transportation and exercise options would have been limited!”
“I bought my 12yo son a mountain bike from Adi more than a year ago. So grateful for this! My son has been riding his new bike through the Blue Hills trails almost daily since he got the new bike! It helps him not only stay in shape and build stamina, but especially helps with regulating emotions and grounding himself. He knows when he's tired, stressed or down for whatever reason, going out for a ride on his cool bike will bring peace, motivation and fun! Thank you, Adi! You made a big difference in this kid's life!!”

“They do the job. Servicing, sales both used and new. We had a bike serviced and tuned up for under $100-which is fair in my opinion. They have a variety of people working there- some prickly some nice but all helpful. We got a used bike for our daughter in great condition for 60-65% less than our friend paid for a new one. I’m sure things can be found cheaper online but unless it’s significantly cheaper we will go to wheelworks.”
“Took my e-bike here a couple of times now. This time I needed the brakes fixed and a tune up. I tried fixing the brakes myself but I just screwed it all up. They got it done quick and I was surprised how cheap it was. I expected to leave there spending $250-300. It Only cost me $155 for what they ended up needing to do. Everyone there is super nice and helpful.”
“Everyone who works here acts like an ornery old man, and two of the three of them are. But it is a useful fox burrow of an LBS for the granola people of JP and the rest of us who occasionally need a tuneup.”
“We LOVE Gary Wood and the folks at Belmont Wheelworks. We met when my son (who has Cerebral Palsy from a stroke in utero) was in his first bike race-- Gary helped us adjust our bike before the race. My son bit the bug on bicycling and when he was ready for a new bike, Gary helped us find the perfect bike, making some accessibility modifications like switching the brake sides to favor my son's stronger side, etc. I got my Stumpjumper here 20 years ago and Belmont Wheelworks keeps on delivering because of the people!”
“Flew my bike to Boston in September for a multi-day ride, but on the shakeout ride it was making a squeaking noise. Took it to Cambridge Bicycle ~30 min before closing. Josh spent a good amount of time with it to look into and rule out potential causes. He narrowed down on the likely cause being a small failure of a seal on the rear hub; he added some oil and assured me that although it might make noise, it was plenty safe to ride. I was charged nothing for the time spent on the diagnosis.
I was pleased to find that it made no sound the next day, and it didn’t chirp again for the remainder of the trip! We ended up having a great adventure, and that’s thanks at least in part to the Josh's efforts. Many thanks for the time and attention!”
“The owners are super friendly and actively listened to help me find the bike that best fits my needs. There is no pressure to buy one way or the other, no gut feeling telling me something is wrong here, and all-in-all, it is a good business run by good people. I also loved the cat that likes to hang out in the store.”
