Savin Hill and Malibu Beach is a great neighborhood beach for a close, cool day without leaving the city. It is a wonderful place to go with kids, featuring a playground, ball fields, shaded picnic areas, and a nice walking path for biking and exercising. Free parking is available. The beach can be a little rocky and the water is sometimes noted as not too clean. No dogs are allowed from April to mid-September. It is not too crazy and crowded, making it perfect for families.
